Quiet and powerful
I bought two of these for my juice bar to replace Vitamix “Quiet One” blenders (which were EXTREMELY LOUD after less than a year of use and Vitamix could not fix them). The Blendtec is much quieter and blends perfectly. The lid is a little wonky as other reviews have mentioned, but as long as it’s placed securely we haven’t had any issues with leakage. (Though I guess it could be an issue with thinner liquids, as we only blend smoothies.) We did have to replace one due to an error message but Blendtec customer service was great and sent a new blender as soon as we shipped the broken one. We’re completely happy and will not go back to Vitamix.

Worth every penny!
Great blender, with more power than you'll ever need for standard use! If you have the money this is the way to go!

Leaks everywhere
Literally just received it 2 days ago and was excited to try it after the Vitamix blender we have been using. Attempted to run a clean cycle and water sprayed everywhere. I tried on 3 different occasions. Then my husband tried it thinking maybe I wasn't getting the flimsy lid on right. Within 5 seconds of starting the blender we had a mess. The lid is worthless trash. I was so hopeful, but absolutely can not blend our daughters food for her g tube with this $1177 piece of junk.

Outstanding reduction in sound. Much quieter than the our original without the surrounding attachment. Yes, we can carry on a conversation next to it.
