Stoma Belt Fix
The belt is not friendly to the skin. Just wrap an old tee shirt around it-see picture. Very comfortable. I use it as a back brace. Jim

Good value
I wear this when doing activities where I need extra support. I love the adjustable panels around the pouching system, but the belt panels when adjusted to the contours of my abdomen which is smaller at the waist and larger at the hips, the Velcro sticks out and is irritating for sure. Not comfortable to sit in, but for moving around it is secure!

Favorite design around ostomy; fabric gets scratchy
I love the design with the two "U" shaped ends with adjustable side panel for fit. I don't care for the material, even over a t-shirt, the belt material pokes through. I've purchased 2 and the scratchy threads happened to both.

Not good for outside summer activities
The belt works great and keeps things secure however avoid wearing it if you will be doing activities outside. It makes you very sweaty and can compromise the integrity of the ostomy base.

Very comfortable.
I’ve found this to have just the right amount of support while still being comfortable. Please don’t put it on the way the video shows. I keep the U shaped stoma area set to fit my stoma. I put it on my pouch first, then I bring the longer end around my back and Velcro that in place. So much simpler!

Abrasive on bare skin!
The belt fit fine, and adjusted easily. I was happy with the fit - I was right at the border between a large and X-large, and I opted for the large, which I think was the right choice. Here's the problem, though: The material has rows of nylon fibers zigzagging across it. I don't know if this is what provides the stretchiness for the elastic, or if it's part of what helps to reinforce the elastic. The problem is that the ends of the zigzags poke your skin any time the belt flexes. This is not at all comfortable. If you're planning to wear it over a T-shirt, then that would give you some padding, but then you'd have to cut a hole in the shirt to let your ostomy appliance poke through. I thought about trying to wear the belt inside out, but that would leave the tabs of the adjustment area just kind of hanging out where I think they'd tend to get pulled open, and I wondered if the closure Velcro would be comfortable facing that way.The other problem I had was that, after a rather active few hours at work, I went to empty my bag. I was wearing a Convatec Esteem Body one-piece, and at the top where the support belt went around it, the bag itself was pulled away from the wafer. I don't know if this was a problem with the bag, with how I adjusted the belt, or with the belt itself, but I had a big stain on my shirt and on the belt from leaking output.Between the two issues, I haven't worn the belt again since. If I can figure out a way to line it with some soft and stretchy material, and if I don't have more problems with damaged bags, I think I'll like it just fine - but I wanted a solution to my problem, not a project.
