**UPDATE** I stand corrected, I moved the solar panel to the very top of my lanai (I realized the cord was long enough to reach up there) Now that the panel is up on the roof The fan has power all day! Occasionally, I have to pull it from the greenhouse and plug it in the lanai to give it more juice, but not as often as I did previously! changing my 3 star to a 5 star very happy with this Purchase.The fan works great when plugged directly into power. Living in Florida, I get plenty of sunshine, but I’ve noticed that the fan only operates at full power when it's fully charged and the sun is bright. Once the sun goes down, the battery loses its power quickly, and the fan starts making a loud sound as it struggles to run solely on battery. For solar functionality, I’d rate it 4.5/10, but when plugged into the grid, it’s a perfect 10/10. Unfortunately, this defeats the purpose of my purchase, as I was seeking a solar fan to keep my greenhouse cool. It requires constant monitoring to ensure it's getting enough sun or to decide if it needs to be plugged in, which is more work than it’s worth.

Works great outdoors. We love to use it while we sit outside. It gets so hot during the summer days. It has been a blessing for us. Worth every dollar.

I have 3 of the fans. I was going to purchase 2 more, 1 as a gift. 2 are installed in a multipurpose outbuilding without electricity. After only 2 uses the solar plug end that plugs into one of the fans broke. I am unable to use the solar panel now. Yes, I can still use the fan charging it in the house, carry it back and forth, but I bought it for the solar capability. I’ve tried sending messages thru Amazon with completely unsatisfactory responses. Basically, I should figure it out myself.I don’t even know who I’m messaging with. The company? Chatbot? Amazon AI? The company should send me a new solar panel and cord or a new cord and plug with instructions how to attach at the solar panel. It doesn’t just plug in.A different company completely replaced everything when I had a problem a year later with a different solar fan installed in my greenhouse. Very disappointing.

The fan works great! Not a strong breeze but good for when sitting on porch to keep bugs off n cause a breeze.

This thing is amazing. Once charged will run several hours even at more that 1/2 power (12 settings). Use to charge devices that run on USB charging. Plug things into fan when lots of 🌞 sunshine. A must have for off grid, warmer living. The other day I ran at 10 out of 12 (blowing well). Was on for at least 4 hours the other day and still had 1/2 battery life left!
