I recently received this shrimp deveiner and was very impressed with the quality. It is made of stainless steel and is designed to clean shrimp effortlessly. It has a good balance for easy use. I put it to work cleaning a half pound of shrimp that I had thawed. The tool split the shrimp backs with ease and the vein cleaner worked well. The deveiner was reasonably priced and should last a long time with proper care. I highly recommend this tool.

I can't wait to use my deveiner tool. The size and quality is perfect. It is sharp!!! However i wish it came with a case to protect the user from being harmed or cut when not in use.

The media could not be loaded. Once in a while we buy fresh shrimp off the boat, and they’re typically not processed.Peeling shrimps is already a big task and deveining is sometimes abandoned task. I am grossed out by the “veins” and if not lazy - typically, try to clean them with a fork. Totally messy and not that nice.This knife is a really nice thing - makes the deveining (at the top and at the bottom) really easy. And when you get more practice - you might just get the whole vein right with that knife when you slice with it.At first I had concerns with knife’s design - all metal, including the handle (thought it might slip out of mu hand). But no issues with slipping. And now I think it’s a sterile design - easy to clean the knife, too.
