Perfect
Very nice finish, I used it on coasters and pot stands to stop them sticking when hot things aew put on them. Worked a treat

Does what it says on the tin!
I wanted a varnish to put on a wooden shelf so that it was protected from heat and water spillages! This is great and I love the look of the finish

Difficult to coat evenly.
The varnish is quite dense and doesn't spread well (even using a good quality varnish brush) Hence it requires a lot of sanding between coats. That said very tough.

Have used this product before, excellent results and delivered in a timely manner.

Had a few problems
I have been using the gloss version for many years and wanted a less reflective surface so went for this. I will probably have the strength like the gloss but it was difficult to apply, dried unevenly, took way more than the 3 hours to dry and the surface appears grainy although it was very thoroughly prepared, so I think there may have been a problem with this batch.

Not Totally Clear, Has a Yellowing Effect
I bought this to add a tough waterproof protective layer to a wooden table which I had upcycled and spray painted ivory. The paint on the top was starting to get knocked off and scratched which wasn't the look I wanted, so I touched up the paintwork and then painted a layer of this satincoat on top. Unfortunately it has come out distinctly yellowish and not clear, so I have ended up with a yellowed discoloured look on the top of the table, rather than a simple satin sheen over the ivory colour as I was expecting. So be warned if overpainting white, cream or very pale colours!
