Q: If playing from flash drive / USB will the drive contents appear on the screen for selecting music?

I have yet to use the USB port. The instructions say this "After reading the USB flash drive, the unit will display a menu to select Audio, JPEG or Video. Using buttons to select, press OK button to enter. Follow the on screen display to operate". This tells me that yes, you get a screen to select the music.

Q: Is it powered by usb cord?

It is a DC plug adapter that inserts in a jack on the back the AC adapter plugs into a standard 20v AC outlet.

Q: Can I stream video from my phone to this device's video screen using Bluetooth?

I sure hope so !! Music videos & movies too

Q: Does this have composite video out? no hdmi output?

It has HDMI input and the normal plug ins for video and sound out
