Good price and quality
Great rod. I ordered 6’6” medium 2 piece. Put kastking Sharkie 3000 reel with kastking 20 lb braided low vis grey line.Love the setup.

Size matters
Great rod. Super smooth casting with long distances. Light yet durable. The grip is a plus too. I got a 7-footer and it's perfect. I've caught many bass on it within the short time I've had it :)

Rods are fine, hook keeper is not
I own two of these rods, the 5’6” LF and the 6’6” HF. Both are two-piece rods. I’ve caught one of my biggest bass (20”, 4lbs) on the LF and it held up well, even on the hard hook set. I mostly use this rod to throw very light lures, and it has enough flex to excel in the cast. I also used to use it to troll crank baits through the river in my kayak. I’ve hit sudden snags, muscled in catfish against the current on light line, and bent hooks out of snags and it’s held up fine, although it didn’t inspire confidence.Which is why I picked up the Heavy-fast model, which is used almost exclusively for trolling, though I might start using it to throw spinners for pile (#3s are a tough cast on a baitcaster). I’ve had it on the water once so far, still no fish, but it’s only a matter of time. This is my first heavy rod that wasn’t some bass pro catfish combo, and my initial impressions are that it’s extremely lightweight and feels nice in the hand. I have some MH baitcast rods that are twice the price but feel less nimble. I’m hyped to see how it feels when I pull in the first catch. My one complaint is the hook keeper. Holy smokes is it bad. It’s a clip instead of a loop and on the top of the rod. Somehow if I work a bait with slack line, the recoil likes getting stuck in the keeper, and I have to pull it out when I should be trying to feel the bait. This sucks since I use this rod for finesse fishing, and every time I have to take my hand off the line is a time I could miss a bite. On the heavy rod, I hooked my bait onto the keeper to set it down, and as I tightened the slack, the keeper bent up with barely any pressure. I’ve never seen this before - maybe I got a defective rod because I’ve tightened the other rod way more and the keeper hasn’t bent. I’m thinking about grinding the keepers off and just getting an aftermarket one.Anyway, these are awesome rods for the price point. I don’t think you can find something better under $50. But just keep in mind that the hook keeper might leave you frustrated.

Great lightweight, sensitive rod with backbone!
I have a few KastKing products and this might be my favorite one. This rod is great. I fish either from the bank or in a canoe, and I throw mossssstly soft plastics. I fish in NH mostly for largemouth but I’ll hook a pickerel or smallie here and there.I love this rod because it’s got a nice fast action, I love fast action, and it’s got great backbone. I’m usually throwing a weightless, Texas rigged trick worm, or soft plastic jerkbait directly into lilies. I also love a 1/4oz jig head with a 2” gulp minnow on it for twitching off the bottom. Since I’m on the bank or in a canoe I’m not very vertical…meaning if I hook a fish far out I usually have a lot of lilies to get through before I land it. This rod has plenty of backbone for me to do just that. I’m typically using 15 pound braid with a 8 or 6 pound flouro leader tied in with a uni/uni knot. I rarely break off, and it’s only if I snag a log or something immovable. The rod is about as lightweight as you’d expect from a carbon fiber rod, and it has great balance with my 2000 size shimano on it. I’ve casted up to maybe 4 oz in it before with no issue but I probably wouldn’t recommend going too far over the listed weight too often. The only reason I say this is because of the fast tip, it doesn’t load up so much as something more moderate. Overall I’ve loved all my Kastking products and will continue buying them. The unfortunate end to this review is I have contractors in my building and came home to this rod in 4 pieces the other day. I remembered to write this review because I’ll likely purchase the same exact rod.I went 5/5 on value and lightweight but only 4 on craftsmanship because nothing particularly STOOD OUT. It’s just a great rod.

Looks great!
Nothing was damaged during shipping , it feels super light and durable . I paired it with the magatron 3000 reel and it feels awesome . Can’t wait to fish it . Also the two tips are awesome to be able to switch outUsed it this weekend and landed a couple good bass . It casts well , and has pretty good action . Better than any rod I’ve had at this price point

Good Rod for the money.
So, I have had several of these rods and to be honest I have broken 4 of them. All 4 times it was my fault, twice it got broke in my car and twice I broke it misusing it.It's got Fuji eyes and a quality blank, going to hard pressed to find this quality for less than 100$.I absolutely love mine. They have supper fast sensitive tips. I can honestly say they are as sensitive as 150$ rods that I own.I use the 7ft ml as a fluke rod. I use 10lb bread with 8lb fluorocarbon leader. This setup my fluke dances in the water freely, and I can feel anything that nips it.I use the 7ft m for wacky rigging and finesse Texas rigs. It has more backbone for setting hooks through heavy plastics or bring fish through light cover.Really, I can't say enough good about these rods they are super convenient because they breakdown I notice no lose in sensitivity. I break these today I buy another tomorrow, I like them that much and they are cheap enough I can afford to.

Great feeling rod, durability so-so
Really enjoyed this rod. Great feel, casts well. Only complaint is that I went to pull it out of my truck after a few months of occasional use and the tip had snapped off. I don’t believe anything had hit it, and it was the only broken rod. Not mad, still could have been my fault. I’d say the only issue would be durability with hard use…to be fair, it is a $50 rod.
