Solid rod to have on hand
Good welding rods and easy to use. Strong welding and stickiness. Can handle decently thick materials. Doesn't take too much power to get a good weld.

I tried these welding rods on two different SMAW (Arc) machines and they performed as expected - as good as any I've ever used. Good 6011 rods that run similarly to more expensive brands.
These 3/32 6011 rods run just fine. Penetration about same as more expensive rods. Will run AC or DC. Slag about the same as other more expensive rods. Maybe need to run about 5 hotter? I felt like they took a second longer to heat up fully as well so I long arc for a second longer to heat these rods up.. Great price.

These worked as well as Hobart. One reviewer said the coating was thicker on the yeswelder rods. Grey rods on the left are yes welder. Rod on the right are Hobart. The thicker coating did not seem to affect performance one way or the other. Yes you will get a little bit thicker slag. This was our problem for me. Would definitely buy again.
