App is broken, can’t access its smart capabilities.
Last month Gan discontinued support of its old app and rolled out a completely new one. We can’t log in and the error message is in Chinese. Everyone else seems to have the same issue if you look at the app’s feedback. If looking at this cube for its integration with the app, go with another brand’s smart cube.

I got this to see whether or not the reviews are right about this being a bad cube, So lets see!
Many people said that the connection is really bad. . . I Tested it out and the only problem that I have with the Connection is That if you move the cube really fast when you aren't doing Anything but just sitting in the app, then it can sometime disconnect but it only takes 5 seconds to reconnect. But it hasn't disconnected for me while doing online battles, or practice.Second, many people said in the reviews that the app was trash, I don't know if they just redid the app or what, but it works really nice and is easy to use, I just can't figure out how to change my name.And thirdly the cube is pretty nice after I Adjusted it. (Had to make it faster)I use the iPhone and have the 356 i Carry S Upgraded version. ($35)

I just wish the battery is rechargeable. Otherwise, this is a great cube.

Love how easy it's to rotate also connects to the phone so my son can learn and compete.
Would definitely recommend.It came in a nice packaging with a storage box. It looks very sturdy, well made, easy to maneuver. My nine years old loves it as it connects with the app, and he can compete with himself. Would highly recommend.

App is really bad
App is really bad, it's over-designed for cuteness over actually intuitiveness and functionality.Language translation issues also inhibit flow. Please fix the app.Additionally I thought it would automatically see the orientation of the cube but it does not so it doesn't account for rotating the cube on it's axis to change the face.I think it uses the CR1632 button battery, based on other comments. I have yet to confirm.All that said it came in a nice case with additional parts at $35 or less it's not a bad deal. If only the app was good. I got it hoping the app would seem useful, but frankly it seems to be more of a distraction than just using the methods I've already been using. Make it functionally useful first and don't over design the UI (or under design it either, it should look good. The app should be a tool to make things easier, not add additional fiddling and mucking about.
