I do like these only because I have arthritis in my hands. They are very small, easy to break. So, if you use wax with your watercolors, I suggest a sturdier wax stick

I received the product, but haven't used yet as two of the crayon tips were broken upon delivery. They came in an envelope. They are also smaller than crayola crayons..

What I ordered but they are much smaller than I expected. I thought they would be the size of a Crayola crayon but these are MUCH smaller than that!

wax sticks are great to use in place of masking fluid. I find them to be really good for seascapes when creating the waters edge. I have also used it to create a moon where you need to keep the white of the paper.

1 crayon out of 4 wasn’t broken.

They are helpful and an excellent item to have in your paint toolbox.

I want very impressed I drew some hearts on watercolor paper for my kids. I was hoping it would be a fun reveal to find the secret hearts as they painted with water colors. You could barely see that I had drawn on the paper. This worked about as well as a white crayon. And they are much more brittle than a crayon. I broke one the second heart I drew. I had a thought about maybe holding the tip between my fingers for a bit to try and warm it up. Maybe it will leave more wax on the paper. I haven’t tried it yet. But hopefully that makes a difference. If not, I can’t recommend the product. Maybe I will remember to report back. No promises though.

I was delighted that these had reappeared on-site after not being available for a long time. They are really useful for masking out small details on watercolour paper that won't accept masking fluid and l sometimes use them to achieve the texture of weathered paint or rocks. They are very small - about two thirds of the size of the average wax crayon - so are uneconomic for covering large areas. However I personally feel that this technique is best used sparingly with watercolour as wax is both indelible and shiny but can be tremendously effective.

They work well but I was surprised how small they are. Saying that, they are easier to hold than a bulky crayon
