Q: Are the cups padded enough to give shape (vs. squeezing you flat like with sports bra)?

Yes the cups are padded and give you shape. I finally gave up my underwire bras after finding this bra. Looks good under tee shirts, most anything. Very, very comfortable.

Q: Has anyone washed it with a lingerie bag in the washing machine? I really hate hand wash only things.

I don't like "fussy" lingerie. I through mine in the washer (not is a bag) and dryer. I've had the first one I bought for way over a year. It's still fine.

I'm a 32" D size and ordered the small and x-small. I like the x-small the best because it gives me more support while exercising.
