Q: what size turkey will this oven accomodate? will it fit a 9x12 baking dish?

it will fit a 9x12 baking dish...would not go bigger than a 12 to 15 pound turkey

No it isn't safe to close the cabinet doors. It is a oven and it has to vent, and the top of it does get warm. You can store it in a pantry cabinet only. Got to remember it is an oven.

Q: How does this oven perform for homemade things like baked chicken, fish, meat loaf, meat balls, casseroles?

Perfectly! Even though the interior is a bit small I just use smaller pans, etc. I even use it for my breads, cakes, etc.
