Q: Does this still suffer from high temperatures like the previous generation Ultra Fit?

As it is all plastic it does not transfer the heat away quickly and with its small physical size it can't get the heat away fast enough. But it keeps working when it is hot. I ended up using a metal cased Flash Drive (yes it still gets hot) but it cools faster and the socket in my laptop is also metal so heat transfer is better.

Q: What it the write speed???? can't believe the most important information is missing.

I've just bought the 128GB version, and am getting around 22MB/s sustsined write speed. Context is everything: I'm using a very fast laptop with SSD, copying through a USB 3.0 port, and the files are large enough not to skew the results at circa 1GB each. Peak transfer rates are around twice that, but I tend to ignore those as misleading, and focus on the sustained trnasfer rates which tend to give a truer measure.

Q: My car can only accept fat32 format. can i plug and play with this usb or do i need to format the whole 256gb before i transfer my music?

If your card stereo only support FAT32, you’ll need to make sure the USB drive is formatted to FAT32 on Windows or MS-DOS (FAT) on Mac. If the drive is preformatted to exFAT and you are using a Windows computer, you’ll need a third party app to format it to FAT32. We do recommend using the one below. As format will erase all data from your product, please make sure that you have everything backed up prior to proceeding. 1. Q: Is this flash drive compatible for ReadyBoost on Windows 7?

Yes, I have Windows 7 and I put the drive in the PC and right-clicked to go to Properties. The ReadyBoost tab shows up straight away, with a slider to set the amount of memory on the flash drive to allocate to ReadyBoost, up to about 4G.
