We built this to be a discrete item in our media room. It cracks everyone up.The instructions were near Lego quality and the build is fine. They use some clever techniques to yield the finished shapes.Worth it!

My son and I recently watched Spaceballs in our father-son bonding over silly movies time. He loved it. He loves NYC and the Statue of Liberty so he really got a laugh out of Mega Maid. Combine that with his love for building bricks (won’t use the ‘L’ word since that’s not what this is), and this was a hit.The quality is fairly comparable to the sets from the big L, and the price is more wallet friendly. As with other brick sets that do not rhyme with your favorite toaster-ready waffle I’m sure it would have been marginally better if the box bore a big red logo, but overall this is a great set and my son loved it and that’s what I was shooting for.

This is a fantastic build. Not only is this a homage to Spaceballs but it was fun build. It was a great value and love that it’s displayed with my other cool movie themed brick sets.

Great gift! Like any off brand, packets are a bit different from the brand name, so don’t expect to finish a bag before opening the next bag. But this was great fun to watch and see the end product! This created such a laugh for the family! Can’t wait to get the second set put together…

I was excited, but cautious about this build. From what I read, others had issues/concerns about the overall build. I will give credit where it's due. Overall, it was fun, not too complicated, and the finished product looks good.The Cons:1) Biggest problem for me was a missing piece. As you can see in the picture, these two bricks are supposed to be the same. The brick on the right is correct, and there should be two. However, the left brick is incompatible. It doesn't fit in the spot it is supposed to go. Not sure where it came from, since it doesn't exist anywhere else in the build.Thankfully, this is part of the Eagle 5 (the space winnebago), which you build at the very end. I bought a separate, full size brick Eagle 5 from another seller, since I knew this was one two small and lacked detail. Others have reported missing correct bricks much earlier in the build.2) For the most part, you work your through most of the first bag before having to open the 2nd one, and then 3rd, BUT, there is overlap, and it makes you think you're missing parts. Don't panic.3) The sides and waist are not very sturdy, resulting in having to fix/reapply a few pieces multiple times. Likewise, the shoulder become loose once you start building the hands and accessories.4) The Eagle 5 is a disgrace. It's almost an afterthought to the build. It takes about 3 steps and 10 bricks to build, and the detail sucks compared to the main piece.5) Not an issue for me, but if you like displaying the box along with the build, don't hold you breath. The box is a general "gift" box with no images of the build on it.I still encourage you to purchase this set for nostalgia/nerd sake. But be cautious of the possible frustrations coming your way.Good luck, and happy building.

Looks nice assembled, lower quality than Lego of course but fair for what you get.

The shoulder/vacuum is a bit hard to keep on. It will need some glue. Not hard to put together. Had all the pieces and the instructions were adequate. Now apart of my Spaceballs theme background.
