The bassinet arrived mostly assembled and the instructions were easy to follow. Basically you snap in two metal support bars and the 4 legs and you're done! The cover was a tight fit when stretching it over the bottom pegs and I was afraid it was going to rip at first, but the fabric and stitching were no worse for wear afterwards. Good quality there!The remote control arrives with a battery inside, but the bed itself takes 4 C batteries, which are not included. I was pleasantly surprised by the rocking and sound features. There is a tiny bit of lag time between pressing the button and the mode or function changing, but it's not too bad. The functions themselves are useful, with plenty of options, yet not so many that it's overkill. There are three rocking speeds and several songs to choose from, none of which are annoying (whew!). There are also a couple of white noise options and some nature sounds. I liked all of them! The volume range is good and I like the option to have rocking and sound be on at the same time or separately. The motor sound from the rocking itself isn't too loud or obnoxious either.Baby has not arrived yet, so we disassembled the bed and put it away for a while. It's really easy to take apart and store back in the box, which is a definite plus!Overall really happy with this bassinet.

This bassinet is perfect for our needs! It fits exactly where I wanted it to go. The assembly was very easy for one person to manage. All of the settings are easy to understand and worked as expected. I have not had a chance to use it on a real life baby YET but I have tested it and I am ready!! I hope it makes sleep time a great experience for all of us!

This is a review of the Brownish-yellow color of this motion bassinet. It arrives fairly compact in a box with all the structural components neatly packed and zip tied to the base of the unit. The assembly is fairly straight forward, but the user should read the directions first in order to avoid having to do a partial disassemble to get the bassinet side supports in place.Structurally the product says it supports up to 20 lbs but a parent should never put a baby that size in this or any other bassinet, especially when they begin to have even limited mobility.The legs are made of some type of wood (type is not specified), but looks like bamboo, which are inserted into the base of the bassinet basket and can be easily removed by pulling them out. They snap in place with a small rabbet carved out of the top of the leg around the circumference of the leg. The leg is slightly wobbly, which makes the whole bassinet a little wobbly, but is sturdy enough to hold an infant especially a newborn. I do not think there is any chance of the bassinet falling part, when assembled properly, with your infant asleep.As implied above, the VaVaSoo is not a mamaRoo nor an equivalent. This bassinet basically has one mode of motion to twist the base of the bassinet back and forth, that is, rocking the baby as if the parent were holding and twisting the parent’s back left to right in a slight rocking motion. It has three speeds, of which all are suitable and not overbearing for the baby. The remote control allows you to set the speed of rock, the type of music/white noise to use and the volume of the music/noise. It also allows you to turn it off if not automatically turned off after the timeout.Another way the VaVaSoo is not mamaRoo is the price. It is significantly cheaper in price, but also is not the quality of the mamaRoo. This can be spoken from experience as we also have a mamaRoo bassinet, which is quite expensive. If the mamaRoo is out of your price range, then you may consider the VaVaSoo bassinet instead.I would not normally mention a recognized competitor to this as a comparison, but the name chosen for the store is so similar to the Cadillac of baby products, that it cannot be ignored. With all this said, the product did work, seems stable enough, the basket appears to be a nice mesh that is washable and protects the baby’s head from any accidental bumps and bruises.The VaVaSoo bassinet is a product you might want to consider.

This bassinet is wonderful!! It's so beautiful and well made. It was so easy to put together too!!The rocking motion works really well and has 3 speeds. The music and sounds are great. This is comparable to the fancy and expensive bassinets at a much more reasonable price.

This is the ultimate baby bassinet if you’re looking for one! It was easy to assemble and rocks baby to sleep. I mean who doesn’t want to be rocked to sleep!? It’s so nice and baby slept wonderfully in it! It would always calm her down!
