It definitely did not help with channeling my pain. Obviously child birth is no walk in the park but you can save yourself a couple bucks and skip this. My opinion it’s just for looks. Maybe if the comb had sharper points like and actual comb it would have helped. It’s nice quality sandalwood you can maybe comb your babies hair with it.

This comb has a very nice and is curbed to fit the palm in a pretty specific way. I am a birth doula and picked up this and another comb for mother’s who want to try using this gate-method of pain reduction. It has nice writing on it and a wrist strap so it’s not easily dropped or lost. I expect to give as a gift (for remembrance or combing baby’s hair) after each use and replace as needed.
