Distinctly eggy
I get a bit weird on the subject of salt. I enjoy using different types of salt and enjoying the differences in texture and flavor. This tastes a lot like black salt to me. Cleaner in a way, but distinctly eggy. That makes a good choice for finishing wild mushrooms and stuff and gives it a bit of richness. It's really not going to be for everyone because of that flavor. I enjoy it though.

I REALLY wanted to like this, but...
I like exotic salts. This was too off for me. It has a very earthy, woody, bamboo taste. I didn't like it

Unique tasting salt that’s not for me, pricey
Kpurity Artisan Ultimate Purple Bamboo SaltOh boy, this is not something I liked. I do not appreciate the taste. That said there’s nothing wrong with it as I can determine. Some may like this for it’s exotic taste. That isn’t me. I’m not striking it for me not liking it as it intrigued me as a special item. Try it knowing it’s different.

Smells heavily of sulphur
I'm not sure what I expected, but this wasn't really it. I did note it was "powder" prior to ordering, so while odd, it wasn't unexpected. The description says nothing about the salt itself. It says very little actually and for the price you would think it would tell you something of value, like why it's so expensive and what does it actually do for you. Instead, you get a jar of salt power that smells heavily and unpleasantly like sulphur. I thought it would make sense or be useful for cooking/seasoning food when I ordered it, but the smell is quite the turn off. After receiving it, I found out it's a fancy pseudoscience based "magic salt" used potentially for cooking but also supposedly a cure for a random variety of ailments. Not likely. Personally I think it's just expensive but unappetizingly smelly salt powder. Not worth the cost unless you're into bad that kind of thing.

Unique and exquisite salt rich in history and flavor, must have for any chef or herbalist
As a chef and herbalist, I have quite the collection of salts (and healing salts) from all over the world. I also have several types of bamboo salts but none quite as unique or exquisite as this one.The bottle is plastic and safety seal over the salt rim. The manufacture date is November 2, 2023. This is a product of Korea.Purple Bamboo salt processTo understand the process, the salt is collected from the peninsula’s coast. It is allowed to dry for one year. Then the salt is placed in bamboo tubes and sealed with red clay. These tubes are then placed over a pine wood fire and roasted 9 times. The bamboo is grown in South Korea and aged for over three years.Healing propertiesIt’s quite a skill and very manual process for creating this artisan salt (in short time and labor). The result is a unique salt with folk medicine roots that go back a 1000 years. It has been used in Korean medicine for its anti-inflammatory properties. The salt also has a very high alkaline level and more than 70 essential minerals and micronutrients. It has a unique Qi energy given the 5 elements used to create it. it has a pH level over 11. It is used in cooking, fermenting (Kimchi), toothpaste and skincare.Purple Bamboo salt over othersThe Korean Purple bamboo salt (also known as amethyst bamboo salt) is one of the most exquisite salts in the world, more than Hana Flake Japanese sea salt, Black Truffle sea salt, and Hawaiian salts.Flavor profileA pinch at the finish of the cooking cycle adds a savory, slightly smoky flavor to soups, meats, sea food, and vegetables. Its high alkaline balances the acidity of a dish (for those who are geek out on food alchemy). It’s earthy, smokey and sweet and takes one an egg yolk like flavor.

Purple bamboo salt
I’ve tried many salts and each one is unique. This salt is highly concentrated and tastes great with different meats like steak. It’s pricey but I can sort of see why. And this bottle will last me a bit.

Good Salt
The purple bamboo salt is tasty for sure. It enhances the flavor of any savory food. We used it on steak in a salad. Both items were delicious. It's pricy but worth it.
