Best thing I have purchased for my router, it increases stability and accuracy. Really good build quality, and the straight sides work great to reference against jigs and guides.

Really good for the price (It is NOT comparable to Festool kits)...
It's good for it's pricepoint. Obviously (I hope) everybody knows you need a Makita router for this base. Those routers are fine. I use this for door fabrications and installation, specifically as a field tool for hinges and lever/lock mortises on mid-quality installs. I don't have to worry about bringing my Festool 1010 to the job site. Festool tolerances are 10x better, significantly easy to use in a variety of situations, and have really good dust pickup. This is a job site tool, not a shop tool. The depth stop could be a little tighter, but it's quick so a fair tradeoff. I love how flat the assembly (base, router, battery) is when setting the tool down. It will not roll off a workbench, or the tool/thing you may accidentally set it on. I love the cordless ease for several quick small mortises (see use again). Visibility is awful compared to the high-end router offerings, but this will work on very small templates, so in my case that's OK.

Take the plunge!
I bought this for my battery power Makita Router to be able to do plunge cuts in my wood projects . This is so well made and so easy to use and to adjust. It turns it into a multi function tool. I wish that I had purchased the bundle when I first ordered the router. It would have gotten a lot more use but I’m making up for lost time.
