I came down with a nasty bout of H. Pylori after the holidays and it really was debilitating. I felt awful, bouts of nausea, my stomach hurt most of the time, and my bowels had strange cramping sensations. My doc put me on one round of triple antibiotics, but it didn't kill the H. Pylori off though it did help. After doing some research online I decided to give mastic gum a try. I bought Logic Nutra's vegetarian brand because I have a beef allergy and their capsules aren't made with gelatin. I've been taking Mastic Gum now for 2 1/2 weeks and I've noticed a big difference. I started off by taking two 500mg capsules between breakfast and lunch, did that for two weeks, and now I've added an additional 500mg capsule between lunch and dinner. I noticed a positive difference after one week. So far I feel much better. I have more energy, more strength, and can think much clearer than I could before. At this point, my stomach is still sensitive and I have to stay away from spicy foods and things like vinegar and sauerkraut, but I feel so much better. The difference has been pretty amazing.

I’m a spicy food lover and eater, and have been on prescription Prilosec as a maintenance med for perhaps going on a decade now, and heard a lot of great stuff from other friends and folks who suffer from acid reflux saying mastic gum is a miracle product. Well, this was the first one I tried - and it didn’t go well. I went on hiatus from spicy food for a week before I started taking this product, just to ensure my tum wasn’t in a fragile state. Took 1 prilo and a double dose of this stuff for the first two days, then quit the prilo on day 3 and just went with double dose mastic. On day four I could feel something wasn’t terribly copacetic with my tum - again, no spicy food for well over a week now. Day 5 I had a constant mild pain in my tum that never went away. Day 6 I was in relentless pain all day in my tummy. That night my old nemesis GERD reared it’s ugly head while I was asleep - and if you’ve ever had that, it’s not something you ever want to happen to you again. Yeah. That bad. Unless you like lava going down into your lungs, but I’m not here to judge. Got ahold of my silver best friend the next day [he takes a different brand of mastic gum], he said take even more of it. So now I’m quadruple the dose, and by day 8 I’m in so much pain [recall that my mild pain began and never stopped since day two, technically, on mastic only, and increased exponentially for me from there] and having to adjust my bed kind of upright to keep my tummy acid from mûrd3r1ñg me to death in my sleep, so I waved the white flag, cried uncle - a lot - and resumed my prilo which sadly takes a few days before it can work it’s magic, but it’s absolute sorcery what prilo can do for you once it’s at full power. I might try mastic gum again someday, but def won’t be this brand. However, YMMV.

I am a h pilory patient.I use to maintain a healthy life.but after my daughter born started to eat a lot...lolts of fatty meat, whole milk every day. This was suggested by my naturopath for healing my severe, slightly bleeding esophagitis. I have used the capsules and I open up the caps into a small amount of room temp water, allow to thicken slightly, and then swallow. It has been very beneficial to ease my symptoms (even early esophageal cancer.) This product was even suggested by my ayurvedic healer, since I am all about natural protocols. Wish there was just a form of bulk powder instead of my opening up the caps to add to the water. I am still on my journey of healing but will continue to use this along with many many other herbal remedies and anti-cancer protocols till my adrenal shutdown is again fully functioning since I really don't use conventional allopathy. I can't do without the healing and coating abilities of this product. Healing cancerous tissue takes time, and this allows the healing to take place better than anything else I have found. I've been suffering from GERD and IBS-like symptoms for the last few years. After changing my diet, eliminating gluten and dairy, I was still having issues with GERD waking me up at night. Also, my tummy always became nervous and uncomfortable in anxiety-provoking situations. I was pretty miserable and desperate, so thought I'd try Mastic Gum.It has been about 2 weeks now, I take it upon rising and wait about an hour to eat anything. So far, I have noticed quite a difference in my stomach and digestion. It seems calmer, less upset, and the GERD is MUCH less of an issue.
