So, I bought this toner and drum cartridge kit because I'm putting together a printed recipe book for the kitchen, and my toner was nearing the end of its life. I liked that this came with a drum cartridge as well. I don't know a heck of a lot about printers, my printer is secondhand or thirdhand, but it works beautifully and takes this type of toner and drum. So I sought out a replacement toner, and I have in the past used non-official toner (and really, what's the good of the official stuff other than having a name brand on it? the generic market has really caught up in terms of quality!!!) and been happy with it, so I was willing to try this one as it seemed to be well liked and economical.I can immediately tell this toner is gonna be fabulous for my project - the print, as you can see in my review photos, is nice and dark, contrasting sharply against the white of my printer paper.It was really easy to install the new bits, and I've never actually changed the drum and toner myself before, but I didn't even need to look up instructions. Just fiddled with it a bit, and it was clear how things fit together. It's literally a snap - things just slide right into place.Overall, 5/5, could not be more pleased with the purchase. :) Buy it (if it fits your printer!), you won't regret it. Fantastic value!

Great buy. Worked out fine.

This generic replacement toner cartridge for our Brother MFC laser printer fits in as easily as an original Brother unit. Over the past six weeks, print quality has been comparable to Brother's. Of course, I can't yet speak to whether the quality will hold up as long as a Brother replacement.

I accidentally turned in my drum, along with the empty printer toner cartridge, to Office Depot and consequently needed a new drum!! This one for perfectly and even had the same colored slide. The printer toner cartridge fit perfectly as well. Highly recommend!!

I did not try the toner cartridge so I cannot speak to those. However, the drum does not work with my printer. The paper gets jammed with each print attempt. I noticed a small roller at the front of the genuine brother drum. This drum does not have that small roller and that is where the paper gets jammed each time. I am returning the product.

We ordered this for our Brother HL-2270DW Printer that used the DR 420 Drum Unit and TN-420 or TN-450 Toner, because of the great price point and our need for a new drum and toner. We are the only owners of this printer and have changed the drum on multiple occasions and the toner on several occasions over the course of the many years we have owned it. We were excited to find this off brand drum unit and toner replacement. When we received the package, we opened it and all looked great. However, the drum unit does not seem to work as it should in our printer and is currently not being used. We did not return the product, because we used the toner in our previous drum unit and needed the toner for a project that needed to be completed on a timeline, so even though the drum did not and does not work for us, since we had used the toner, we did not feel it was ethical to try and return the product.
