Worth it! Great coverage!
As a professional hairstylist, I’ve worked with a wide range of color lines, and Wella Color Charm remains a staple in my back bar. Its liquid formula is easy to mix, spreads evenly, and provides consistently vibrant, true-to-tone results. Whether I’m refreshing a client’s blonde, canceling out brassiness, or doing a full gray coverage transformation, Color Charm delivers every time. The toners—especially T18, T14, and T11—are unmatched when it comes to achieving clean, cool blondes, and the permanent shades hold up beautifully between appointments. I also appreciate the predictable lift and the way the color fades true to tone over time. For pros and DIYers alike, this line is a workhorse—affordable, reliable, and incredibly effective when used with a stylist’s eye and prescription. Highly recommend for anyone who values salon-quality results at an approachable price point.

Coverage with dimension
I needed to bring my hair back to a level that was something I could tolerate, and close to my natural color. The last few hair appointments I had, left my hair in various stages of warm-brassy tones - everywhere from copper, to orange, duck-yellow, and butter-blonde. Having a cooler skin tone, the warm tones really clashed and fried my hair. The Wella 7a, brought my hair back down to my almost natural color, really helped neutralize a bunch of the icky warm tones, and still kept dimension. I used the 10 volume developer, applied from scalp to about halfway down, then pulled the ends and more blonde areas through in the last 15 minutes. The final color is a neutral/ash smokey "bronde", almost mushroom brown/dark blonde, and the lighter blonde parts are a much cooler, ashy blonde. Loved the coverage and how gentle the color was. The lighting is a bit bright, but you can see how warm it was before (top photos), and how much cooler and ashy it is after (bottom photos).

Color was great, why the ammonia?
I wanted to like this brand. People rave about it. The coverage was great (handled my grays), the color was as expected. However.... the smell was intense and i thought it was very harsh. I'd do it again, but why are they still using amonia??

Professional color, good price
I've been using this hair color for years. Professional grade, good price and I dont have to go to the beauty supply store to purchase.

Tones and adds depth
I’m so satisfied with this color 7a Smokey ash blonde. Left is before and right is after. I have some blonde highlights I felt were way too bright for my liking with some orange. This color blended it all so nicely.

Easy, does not dry out hair and lots of colors to choose.
This is a great product. It is one of the few color/bleach products I have used that did NOT dry out my hair. And the color is pretty cool as well. T

great coverage
I dye my hair at home a lot and this product has the best gray coverage and was really easy to use. Instructions were simple and clear. Even for someone new they would be successful. For sure will purchase again.

Bad batch????
This is the first time I have purchased this product and gotten a bad batch. After spending nearly an hour touching up my roots and waiting for it to develop… It never developed. When I washed it out of my hair, it was the same color it was before I started. Super unhappy with this because I’ve never had a problem with Wella products before. (And before anyone suggests it was the developer, it was not the developer. I used the Wella Color Charm 20 developer, it’s a fairly new bottle and had great results the last time I used it.This sucks because you can’t return it, and I’m super bummed that I have to turn around and buy a new one and start all over again. I included a picture with the lot number, in case anyone else has had the same issue.
