This seems to be an excellent product. I make a tea with it. The seller does fast shipping and reasonable price for sooo many!

The bag claims 80% intact heads but you can see from my photo (see loose bottom cloves) they are not hitting that mark. This isn’t a deal breaker for me at all though, I only use the whole intact cloves when I make marzipan fruit shaped candies, otherwise I use whole cloves in my home blended organic loose leaf masala chai. So, for my purposes this Spice Profile is perfect. I had been buying whole organic cloves at my local natural foods co-op in the bulk section, but lately I have been seeing that when some of the spices wholesaled by the company that I know the co-op carries have been tested for heavy metals the results have not been good, so I have gone looking for another source. I was very happy to see how conscious this company was with contaminants and how the test and allow consumers to download their testing data! So, cleanliness requirement is satisfied now on to taste. I have not yet gotten to brew with these but just based on aroma and appearance this is what I find. In my photo you can see the bulk co-op purchase in the plastic bag and the Spice Profile loose below the bag. You will see that the amount of intact heads seems better with the co-op one but the over all appearance goes to the Spice Profile. The cloves don’t look as shriveled and have way better color and are larger. The aroma was different too. The co-op ones have a very strong pungent singularly clove aroma, but the Spice Profile ones have that spicy clove aroma too but also there is a lot more going on, the aroma is very complex, subtle fruit and floral aromas mixed in, I am very excited to brew with these! As far as value, hard to imagine given the testing and all, but the Spice Profile even with the cost of shipping rolled into the price here one Amazon is a way better price per ounce than the bulk stuff from the co-op. Five star item, and now I will look to them for my other whole spice needs! Oh, I will say, it was really difficult to open the package, I had to use a pliers! But I am sure it will keep the cloves fresh for a long while.

These whole cloves are great. When I chewed one: wow.They are going to be very useful in my kitchen.A few years ago, I took some cloves, ground them down, mixed them with a little oil and froze the mixture in a cloth. That really seemed to helped my teething puppy. I’ve used cloves ground and mixed them with coconut oil on a tooth a while back. It seemed to really help my tooth ache.Hopefully I’ll only need these cloves for baking and making scrumptious foods.

These whole cloves are very nice and fragrant upon opening and is easy to tell that these are very good quality. These cloves can be used for various recipes and I typically use it for soups. Overall, this is a nice ingredient to have in the pantry however it is on the slightly more expensive end.

These are sealed in a very good package which preserves the aroma and quality of the cloves, and the package stands up on it's own with a stable base. Very good quality cloves! They pack an extreme punch. Labeled USDA Organic. Lovely; good value; will add this company to my list of herbal suppliers of choice; these cloves will last a while. Plus points that they have clearly placed the scientific name on the front of the package, and product's origin (India).

While I was initially unimpressed by another spice offered by this brand, I will say their cloves are the real deal. As soon as you open them you are met with a blast of clove scent. The cloves themselves easily give up their flavor and would be a wonderful addition to a curry or hot toddy. I like that you can visit the website and find out more about the production of the spices. The price is comparable to that of other brand name spices and they come in a nice resealable bag, like you might get locally roasted cofee in. The one downside is 3.5 ounces of cloves is a lot of cloves, and with cloves a little goes a long way. I would recommend investing in a simmer pot to help improve the smell of your home with these cloves.

These USDA Certified Organic Whole Cloves have an amazing aroma that wafts from the bag as soon as you open it. The cloves are mostly intact, but I noticed a few scattered heads broken off. The clove stems are nice and long which makes them excellent for studding apples or hams, and the heads are nice and plump. These are fresh, fragrant, and useful for everything from baking to potpourri making, and they come in a resealable foil bag that had a long shelf life (Oct 2026). I especially appreciate that the cloves were tested are found to be safe from heavy metals, ETO's and over 250 harmful chemicals and the company provides the batch number and a scannable code to view test results for verification. I wish all the companies I buy spices from would do the same. I'm delighted with these cloves and will be a repeat buyer!
