Q: what makes this better than the rebel 17?

I have Rebel 17, I bought it before they released FART. I been using for about 6 years now. Things that I don't like is metal edge on the drum digs in to your hand when you carry, there is no window, strainer or timer. Its built very solid but rubber rollers have worn over time. I also paid twice at the time $240 I believe. Also I had to buy pins separately.

There is no minimum number of cases per say to clean and the rotary tumbler is rated to clean up to 1000 cases of 223 brass. You will love this product and it will shine up your 45acp nicely. Thanks for your question.

Q: is the five pounds of media enough or do you need to buy extra

It is plenty of media. It works great. I have found the secret to really shiny brass is to use dish soap and lemishine to clean. After that rinse and shake the pins out. My last step and I believe the most important is to add clean water back in and put it back on for 15-30 minutes. Everytime I have done that it has been great. Without the last step it's hit or miss with the soap get completely rinsed off and not leaving water spots.

Q: How do they recommend drying out the cases after cleaning in wet solution?

My steps are - 1. replace the seal cap with the strainer cap. 2. pour out as much water as you can without spilling out pin. rinse and drain as many times as needed to get clear water. 3. Dump remaining water and pins into bucket, shake to release as many pins as possible. 5. Use my dry media separator to remove more pins. 6. Spread brass onto a large white towel, let dry overnight (you can speed up drying with a hairdryer). 7. When dry grab the ends of the towel and roll the brass back and forth to loosen remaining pins. DONE. Pick up loose pins with large release magnet from Harbor Frieght. Works Great.
