Safari Ltd. White Rhino Figurine - Detailed 12.5" Plastic Model Figure - Fun Educational Toy for Boys, Girls & Kids Ages 1+

This rhino was purchased to be a part of a 12" GI Joe Adventure Team set "Save The White Rhino." I find it a bit small to be an adult rhino for 1:6 scale, but large enough to be a pygmy rhino. (Don't get me wrong, it's 12.5" long, and just a bit small for a 12" GI Joe, but it's gorgeous.The detail is amazing. The stance is stable and solid, and is one of the nicest examples I've seen of this creature at this scale.

Great size and great price. Approximately 16-18 inches long. My boys love playing with animal toys and making safaris. Fun for them to have a big size to play with that looks just like the real thing. Nicely made and not to heave to carry around

PROS (5-stars): Beautifully sculpted for a mass-production piece. All four feet make contact with the ground, so rhino stands stable. 11.5"L x 4.75H x 3"W, is small enough for a child to handle, yet massive in their little hands. Pliable material makes it somewhat "sqeezable". Big safety plus... the horns, ears, and tail flexes and are not sharp. Kids likely won't get hurt with it.CONS (3-stars): Lousy paint job and sloppy assembly. The Rhino I got looks nothing like the advertised pics. It lacks the same finished paintjob. Mine has a faint sloppy airbrushed "shadowing" in a few major creases. Horns are not painted at all, no painted highlights or textures. The pics in ad are deceiving and may be photoshopped.Also, there is a noticeable seam that circles entire torso from sloppy assembly of the front and back halves.OVERALL (4-stars): Averaging the pros and cons. Considering value for $18, it is a solid purchase. I imagine kids will love it and won't care about my gripes. If the intended purpose is for display, IMO it needs seams repaired and a paintjob. Quality control could be improved, and "honest" pictures should be posted. I included my own unretouched pics for your review. Hope this helps.

Stunning realism. My son collects high quality animal figures and this is absolutely incredible in its accuracy from the coloring to the body shape and proportions. This is the most realistic rhino toy I have ever seen. I would have been happy even if i paid 2x the cost. Very, very impressed.
