Fantastic Anchor
I did not have the same issue with the installation as others, and for me (I have a 19" boat) and the FX7 works extremely well. Your boat is not going to move. In fact, this anchor is so strong that it takes a bit of effort to remove it. You might want to add an anchor retrieval ring to assist with the removal of the anchor. Overall, great product, easy to put together and durable. If you are looking for an anchor, just go with this one.

This a great Anchor!
This is a very lightweight anchor that really grips the bottom of any surface and held our 23’ boat well, even in the beach wind. It does NOT come assembled and I had to put it together. I was not expecting that but it was not too difficult. The anchor worked great and I would highly recommend it.

Great product.
Several people complained about putting the anchor together. However I found it easy enough to do. This anchor looks wonderful. I have not had the chance to use it yet but I already love that it is so light. The anchor came with great instructions to help put it together. It also came with a Quality control card making sure all parts were in the box. I am looking forward to using it. Anchor also looks well made.

Best anchor money can buy!
This is the only anchor that our family will buy. All five of our boats and pontoons use this anchor! Will never buy any other anchor easy to put together and vary dependable even in high wind and waves. Always holds and has yet to release on us.

The Best
In my opinion this is hands down the best anchor on the market, light but effective. Here in the Florida sand bars you need a good grab, I have two, back and front.....it's just the best. I use a 4 foot chain, and braided anchor line

The 4lb Fortress is top notch - 27 foot boat (5,900 lbs) and it doesn't move an inch.
Holds our 27 foot Chaparral like no other. This thing is so light you can almost pitch it out into the water 100 feet if it didn't have 10 foot of chain attached. Used it multiple time in heavy wind conditions (20+ knots) and we never moved an inch. Love it and love watching all our buddies drift away from the hot spots. Keep in mind, having 10 foot of chain and 5 times the water depth in nylon rope is key to success. If the water is 20 feet deep, you need 100 foot of rope out to the anchor.

Installation a Pain
I just got the anchor, have not had a chance to test it in the water but I can tell you the installation of the flukes was a pain. First of all, not sure why they use flat slotted screws as oppose to Phillips. Trying to hold the anchor, and the flukes while trying at the same time trying to screw in a FLAT SLOTTED screws that keeps falling from the screw driver head because it is not a Phillips is a pain...end up having to put the anchor in the vise to hold. Also, the nuts that attach the back of the mud guards are partially blocked by the anchor making installation difficult. As a side note, i am pretty handy as a former car machinic so I know what I am doing.
