Golden Nectar Organic Leatherwood Honey by R. Stephens – 500g Jar – Product of Tasmania, Australia

I have been using Tasmanian Leatherwood honey for at least 20 years and I always carried it in my health food store for that amount of time. It has certainly been my favourite gourmet honey because of the beautiful flowery perfumed taste. I have bought from the Tasmanian Leatherwood Honey Company all these years, and generally buy their largest tin. Alas they were out of stock on Amazon this time so I decided to look around and found Golden Nectar honey by R. Stephens. I was a little wary at first, but decided to go for it for two reasons: one it is a little less expensive than the other honey unit for unit, and two it is Organic! I love to support organic famers and do whenever I can. My guess is that the Tasmanian Honey company's honey is also organic but they don't state it on the tin. The bottom line is that R. Stephens Golden Nectar is every bit as lovely and as perfumed to taste as the other, and it has a delightful unctuous mouthfeel. I am using it and enjoying very much. Thank you. A++++

I was pleasantly surprised consuming this flavorful honey for the first time.My wife used a heaping tablespoon on each serving of our morning traditional organic oatmeal. What a great taste! The taste is a very pleasant sage flavor.I have tried some other brands who advertise a sage like taste experience, but to my palate they barely or faintly register.After lunch today I tried a tablespoon straight from jar and I am very happily satisfied with the taste.I ordered another jar to save just for the holidays.

Price is a little high, but I've expected this over the few years I've been purchasing this product......but holy bees wax!!!....this honey by far is the best I've ever had! I love clover honey and his by far is better! Honey was fresh and came a bit faster than the date expected. I'm definitely buying this R. Stevens Leatherwood Honey again!!!!!

My favorite honey is linden flower honey and I thought I knew it all. How wrong I was. This honey is beyond my expectations. I found out about it from an episode of Gordon Ramsay's show Uncharted. He was very impressed by it and its flavor and taste and we all know he doesn't get impressed easily. So as I watching the show I decided to order it and I'm glad I did. I received it candied but that tells me that it is real honey and it is not full of fillers or sugar syrup. I microwaved it a little bit and now is nice and liquid and very thick. The flavor from the Leatherwood tree flowers is amazing. I highly recommend it.
