This kit fixes one of the hardest to diagnosis suction air leaks...the internal shaft seal. Tried everything else and this did the job. If your pump seems to be be sucking air or failing to prime...and you've checked all joints and valves, don't forget about that little shaft seal. If I would have started there I wouldn't have wasted the time to pull and install 4 new wells, check valves and lots of piping saving me about a week of effort!

I've been fixing things for 50 years. I have 4 roll a ways of hand tools. Removing the broken hub from the shaft was a challenge until I brought out my Fein vibrating saw. I cut the nylon off until I had a brass hex. Thwn used an air wrench. Bingo. Watch Utube, follow instructions. You may also burn off the nylon hub, if you're changing seals.

The repair kit is great; and the videos make the rebuild a great DIY project. One note of learning: Do not tighten the new impeller more than finger tight; and if the pump is ceased up when you turn it on again - back off on the torque that was applied to the pump front end. This kit is for a 2 HP pump. Everything is the same as their 1 and 1.5 pumps but the impeller is wider and will rub. Just beware.

The repair kit is appropriate for the model and design of the pump. Suppliers are prompt on delivery. Owners can do the work and do not need to purchase new equipment.
