ibuypower replaced my z370p for this z390p but my usb AC51 wireless adapter doesnt work. is it not compatible with the z390p?

You probably need to install the drivers for your adapter.

What are the compatible video cards for this board??

you can pretty much run anything honestly. as long as the graphics card is slotted for such. it ran my 1060 extremely well.

do you need a cpu fan for this?

Depends on the processor you choose. Most of them come with a stock fan. But the unlocked dont because they figure you are going to overclock and want a water cooler or a bigger fan.
