HYSKORE Gun Modular Pistol Rack, Closed Cell High Density Foam, Black

Day 1: Working fine, supporting 4 pieces. There is some minor leaning over of the soft foam walls but that does not hamper function. Changed to this from the “coat hanger” vinyl coated metal zigzag under the shelf hangers also sold here…wish I had seen this first…costs more but better in every way. Will probably purchase the 3 slot model as an add on. Came pre-assembled, out of the box and on the shelf good to go.

Inexpensive and perfect fit

A great choice. Solid enough to support the largest/heaviest pistols, but soft enough to not risk damage to the finish of your firearms. Fits any safe a standard pistol rack will. A much better option than steel racks, or barrel-mount racks - easier to use, and doesn't risk damage. Not at all "OD Green" - definitely black. Can be adjusted for shorter frame pistols by disassembling, and cutting down the foam block that supports the barrel.A word on "modular" - this might be the wrong word. The rack is actually a series of cut foam pieces sandwiched together on plastic rods, with speednuts on the end. To attach multiple units, you have to buy longer, threaded rods from the hardware store, and bolt the units together (discarding the old plastic rods). It's a project, they don't just clip together..

This is a great product. It fit perfectly on the top shelf of my save. My only bugaboo is the end plate being goal. The guns on the very end want to flop to the outside. This could have been remedied with thin plastic end plates instead of foam. If they ever revise this to have solid end plates, I’d gladly buy another as this rack is already very affordable.

For the money, and with free same day shipping, these things are great. They are a semi-rigid foam that has been layered together, they fit a very broad range of pistols (from little EDC stuff like Sig 365s or whatever to mini uzi / mac 11 types). Some things, like target pistols with a large or wide thumb flare can press into the foam and deform it over time. Revolvers with wide cylinders may need to be placed near something skinny, but overall these do a great job, allowing much more density in gun safes while protecting the firearm from scratches.

I am very happy with this rack. It is foam and can have some flex but I've been using it for several weeks and I'm not having a problem. I built a small shelf to go under it to store magazines or mag loaders. It Trumps the other solutions.

I ordered this product because I felt the foam would protect my handguns. I really like everything except the side walls. These walls are made of foam that is not very stiff. This does not matter on the side that sits against my safe wall, but it does not protect the handgun on the other side from falling. I contacted customer service and received two helpful pieces of information: 1. It was recommended that the handgun that locks into the holder the best (via barrel/frame) be used on the end to prevent other handguns from falling. 2. The sidewall is not affixed with a standard screw but can be tightened.This was good enough for me. I probably would not buy this product again and might try to bolster the side in some way, but I will keep it and use it. HOWEVER, this is a concerning quote from the second email from customer service: "This is a successful and well received product that was designed to fit the needs of a wide range of guns and storage situations. As such it might not meet a specific circumstance. There are many handgun storage options available in the marketplace. That being said you might be better served returning this and exploring something else." In other words, this company was done with my emails and was not encouraging me to buy their products in the future.Please make your own decision, but I would suggest a handgun rack with more robust construction and a company with better customer service.

They are made of closed density foam which is exactly what you want to use for storage of your pistols in a safe. Well made and really fit nearly all size pistols. An Excellent storage solution for those who do not want their firearms to get scratched.
