Good foundational book, principles still apply. All pictures are from 50s & 60s. All black white photos or sketches.There is charts in each chapter pertaining to the subject. Chapter on motors. If newer material how about DRO's (digital read outs) even hobbiest are buying them for home shops.

For People Wanting to get Acquainted with Machine Shop (Metal Trades)
It very thoroughly explains machine shop. It gives me an idea of what I'd be studying if I were to take a course in it, or perhaps even go as far as to get certified in it. I really like this book!

A good tool you should have in your tool box
A few tips but not many tricks. Helps with unfamiliar setups and plenty of speed-feed tables.
