Grundfos 59896155 UP15-42F SuperBrute Recirculating Pump 9H 115V 1/25 HP

I had a UP15-42FR (R = rotated flange), but could only find this model. I had plenty of room to rotate the whole pump 90 degrees. The installation was quicker than bleeding the air out of the system! The original pump lasted 22 years.

I have used these Grundfos UP 15-42F circulating pumps for several years to run three heating zones. They last for many years, and serve their purpose very well for me. I just bought two more for spares, as I would not like to be caught without a back-up on a cold winter night in northern Wisconsin. If something works, why change.

Wish Grundfos would tell you what size inlet and outlet pipe size. I couldn’t find the info anywhere

Perfect fit for my old one in my boiler system. easy to install, but I think they gave me the wrong screws for the electrical plate, they were either the wrong diameter or wrong thread size.

Simple to install. Extremely quiet while operating. No annual maintenance. The three circulators that I'm replacing have lasted in excess of 30 years each (and of some interest: each failed within a year of the others). Outstanding value. Will buy again, if necessary, however at my age, I'll be gone before they fail.

This replaced my 20yr old Grundfos for my solar hot water recirc. It was a direct bolt up to the old flanges. Pump came with new rubber gaskets. Plumbed pump, connected wires, switched on and back in business. Grundfos has been in business for a long time and their quality can't be beat IMHO. I'm confident I'll get decades of reliable service from this one too. Someday I'll replumb and not have pump at the low point of system as they suggest in the instructions. Old pump failed due to that reason (rust collection).

The pump is very easy to install. It would be perfect if the wire is 6 inches longer.
