Vitamins as advertised, but the capsules do not come apart or easily disolve
My mom has problems taking large pills, so I got these hoping that they would either dissolve easily or pull apart so she could put them in yogurt or apple sauce. That did not work, so we are having to chop them up instead.

Improves vision
A little noticeable difference in vision, don't require as much magnification with readers, dropped to a lesser magnification.

These pills are LARGE
I chose this brand of pills because of their smaller dosage of zinc (according to my research, most AREDS 2 formulations have levels of zinc that are significantly larger than its daily recommended amount without proof that the larger level of zinc is essential). I purchased two bottles and am nearly finished with the first bottle. I haven't noticed a difference in my eyesight. It's neither improved nor worsened, and I can't guarantee that it's had any impact on my eyesight at all. That being said, I have missed full dosages a few times a week. These bottles have 60 capsules with serving size of two pills per day. The problem is the pills are huge. According to the picture, they are .75 inches long. I never know if I'm going to be able to get them down or not. Usually, I'm able to get one, but occasionally, I can't get any down. Whatever the capsules are made of get soggy pretty quickly in the mouth and start to collapse and I have to throw it away. They're not the most expensive pills, but I'm unwilling to try to use more pills when I fail with the first two. Basically, I'm not sure if they are helping and they are just too large to get down consistently. I wouldn't buy these again. Anyone have a hint about how to get such a gigantic bolus down every time? I haven't had trouble swallowing pills since I was a kid!
