How does this connect to the power supply?

This CANNOT be connected with a standard SATA power connector as this is a SAS drive. You must have a SATA to SAS adapter cable or use this drive with a SAS backplane. Can we some transfer speeds on raid configurations. I am debating getting these and would like to see some real world transfer speeds?

I am in the process of transitioning a server from 3TB to 6TG drives so I can't tell you what impact they have. Seems to me transfer speeds are more up to the RAID card / RAID type than the drives. Make sure you realize these are SAS drives, not SATA. Different connector. SATA works on SAS, but SAS does not work on SATA.

How does this compare to the st6000nm0014?

The ST6000NM0014 uses only 4K block sizes where as the ST6000NM0034 is uses 512E. 4K block is used in very few systems currently and 512E is much more common.

For how many years is the warranty for these drives?

five but from date of drive so you must attempt to register and often you find someone else has used it 2 years so only 3 years left. Always immediately register.
