Classy look

Outlet is poorly constructed
The outlet works but the construction is cheep. The latching mechanism must be held open while opening or closing the plug so that it does not snag it mid way. Also, after 1 year in our outdoor kitchen the metal finish is pitted and dull. Also, the GFI is no longer functioning after one year.

You have to figure out your own box mounting.
The media could not be loaded. I used this on an outdoor cooking island. My island is covered so not directly exposed to the elements. Mine did come with a seal. The mounting box or junction box that came with it was generic. You have to figure out your own way to mount it. I had to drill holes in the side and provide support from the bottom to make sure it wasn’t going to move. The box is also not a “flush Mount” type box. It needs to be mounted about 1” to 1-1/4” below the finish surface as the receptacle is deep.I had difficulty getting the mounting screws started, only to figure out they were hitting the protective plastic underneath. After trimming about 1/4” off each side with scissors the mounting screws easily started.Overall I’m happy with it’s functionality.

Great deal
Need a good amount of room for it to close and open properly but once in it looks and function great. I installed in my new island on the countertop

Bad Design
Looks good when installed, but...Problems I encountered:1. Can't close a box with two 12/2 cables coming inside - not enough room.2. Top screws are not aligned with opened cover - I need to use screwdriver angled.3. Screws are very cheap quality - I was forced to replace them after using driver.4. Thread on inside box isn't strong enough.5. By design, I can't use "slave" outlets".6. I need to hold opening handle all the time to open and close outlet completely.
