Good bag, does fall apart after 5 years of use
Writing this nearly 5 years after buying this, having used it frequently and often daily. It’s a great bag, but the craftsmanship kept it from a 5 star. The stitching in the interior pockets fell apart by the end of year one and the stress points on the rest of the bag started showing wear and damage by year three. Granted, I beat this thing up and overstuffed it often. Recently, one of the magnetic snaps fell off (didn’t see it happen so couldn’t fix it :( ) so I’m trying to decide if I want to reorder the same bag and do some preemptive maintenance now that I know where it will start falling apart. I do get a fair number of compliments on the bag and it is a great size for me and my larger sketchbooks. Fits my Macbook great and I like all the zippered pockets.

This bag comfortably fits my 13
This bag comfortably fits my 13.3" ultrabook along with a notebook, water bottle and some miscellaneous other gadgets I carry for work, but I think even a 14" laptop would be real tight. As other reviewers have noted, it is somewhat small, and does not hold its form well (I stuck some cardboard in the middle pocket which helps a lot), so I did not take away any points for that. While the bag feels sturdy overall, my shoulder strap gave out after only a couple of weeks. I was able to get it back together, but it's hard to have the same confidence in it now. I also tend to have it packed pretty tight and am not confident how the internal pockets & zipper will hold up (I'll try and update the review at some point pending how it holds together).I think the bag is pretty nice looking and it serves its function for me, but if I were a student trying to carry textbooks or otherwise a person with anything larger than a 14" laptop I'd definitely go bigger.*EDIT: I just went back and took off another star. The strap completely fell apart on me today, and in addition some of the zippers seem like they're not quite in it for the long haul. I still like the bag aesthetically, and while the actual body doesn't seem to be wearing down, the strap was a pretty important component and, again, I can't help but harbor doubts about it's durability moving forward.

Nice bag for the price
I chose the gray cotton canvas color. The bag is certainly stylish, and I've already received dozens of compliments for it. The leather is nice. It scuffs easily, which is actually good, because the scuffed look just makes it look so much more stylish. The buckles are mainly for design purposes- the lower half of the buckles are magnetic, so they will fall off if you try to actually fasten the buckles- I'd recommend just sticking with using the magnets. My reason for this being four stars instead of five is because the bag is flimsy. I don't mean that the material is bad, I mean there's no support on the inside. The picture makes it look as if the bag will stand upright if you set it down, but it won't. It collapses on itself much like a woman's handbag or purse would. I wasn't quite expecting that, but regardless of that minor setback, this really is a fantastic purchase.

If used regularly, 5-year-lifetime is a reasonable estimate.
I bought this bag in 2014 and have used it regularly to hold my laptop; walking 2 miles through my city 8-10 times a week. For the amount of strain I put it through I'm not surprised it began to wear out; that said, don't be fooled by looks, this will not last you a lifetime. Note the clips on the side; it should be said that they aren't metal and, eventually, will either break or wear thin. This happened to me and my laptop dropped to the concrete, twice. Also, be wary of leather loops securing the strap. Over time they will stretch a lot and eventually snap; one of my loops is stretched very thin now.For something to get you through college it does the job, but like I said don't expect this to last a decade or anything.

Great semi-professional messenger bag
I bought the gray canvas one, and its pretty awesome. You can buckle the leather straps, but it actually magnetic so beware, more on that below.Pro: The magnets are very strong, the leather is thick, and the canvas is stiff and durable. The bag keeps its rectangular shape well as it has rigid inserts that reinforce it, and I've received several compliments on it already (I've had it for about 2 weeks). The interior is made of a very soft nice material, let's see how long it lasts. But there are two levels of zippers inside and plenty of compartments, and the shoulder strap matches the color of the bag. Its a great looking bag, the leather is real and very natural looking.Con: The other end of the leather buckle is magnetic too, but doesn't look that way, so just watch out and make sure you don't lose that end if you unbuckle the strap. It's probably better to just keep the strap buckled so you don't risk losing the buckled end. Again this is a part of the design and is NOT a flaw, its actually pretty cool. The leather scuffs easily but it goes along with the natural sort of aged look.

Excellent purchase
I've had this bag for a week now and I can't stop looking at it. Lol. Very good looking and looks great in a professional atmosphere. I wish I had this bag in college, as well, so I could of taken it to the library or local coffee shop. It subtly portrays sophistication and style. Excellent all around and kudos to the makers.Size: perfect for a tablet. Perhaps, too small for a laptop, but there's much room for work materials and books if you're heading off to class/library to study.Organization: three different compartments. One zips up in the middle (that's where my tablet is). Smaller compartments in the inside on the sides (pen holders and phone pocket, too). Another zip up pocket on the outside. Great for organization!Oh, and all the colors look great, but I purchased the gray one. I'm a dude, too, and my wife got pretty jelly. Lol just kidding. I'm 27, so I'll use jealous. But seriously, it's manly enough for all you men out there, but apparently my wife likes it too, so it's, what's the word, unisex?!? Yeah, I'll stick with that.

Heavy duty bag
A great bag that stands the test of time. I have used this extensively for university, carrying heavy books, lots of stationary and projects. It is very spacious inside, with multiple sections allowing me to divide my belongings into easy to access areas. It is also very sturdy, withstanding heavy items inside it without breaking or fraying. A great bag that I have loved using for university, and stylish too.

A stylish bag fit for purpose
I really like this bag. It is very stylish and has great zipped sections and pockets. I would have liked there to be a leather patch maybe under the bag to reduce the wear. I am using it to take work and can't wait to use it when back at university. I really like the slightly worn look of it too.

Good school bag
Very nice bag feels well made maybe a little heavy. It can fit a a4 folder, 11 inch laptop as well as some school books. Overall a very good bag could be a little taller to acomodate a folder better.
