Price for performance is not too bad
At almost $100 less than the other models, the Romeo was definitely the way to go. Bike assembly was straightforward, anyone that has seen a bicycle should be able to piece this together within 15-30 minutes. The ride is smooth, and the bike does what it's supposed to. When my bike arrived, the stem was rotated 30 degrees to the left of where the wheel was pointing... easy enough to fix. Seat came attached to the seat post, which was nice, so all you have to do is the following:- Attach the front wheel- Attach the handlebar- Add the grips- Attach the brake lever(s)- Adjust the brake(s)- Attach the seat- Attach the pedalsNow for the cons:- This is a heavy bike. Having less parts on this bike doesn't make up for the fact that the deep V wheels, and the heavy steel frame basically eat up any weight savings you'd have in less parts.- The brakes, along with painted rims will squeal like a banshee in heat when you use them. It's seriously louder than squeaking car brakes. This might be a positive, if you're trying to make sure everyone in a ten block radius knows where you are at all times- The deep v rims are not seamless. That is, there is a visible, non-smooth crease where the ends of whatever stock they bent was joined to form the rim. What that means is that every revolution, when you're braking, you'll feel a slight tug as the brake pads slide over this seam. It's a bit annoying. This is a moot point, as is the last one if you're going to go brakeless and fixed (i use the freewheel).-Being a single speed, you often need to stand to get some leverage/power while riding. Today on my lunch ride (i've only taken the bike out less than five times) the left pedal has started to bind so that when i'm pedaling, the left pedal hits a spot where it doesn't seem to want to rotate any more and i have to force it a bit. Another annoyance, and I might just get some better pedals and call it done.In the end, it rides well, and smooth although it's about 6 pounds heavier than my $400 road bike... Most of the parts seem good enough to last a while, and really... in a $250 bike you can't ask for too much, and this bike delivers well enough where you need it.

Gorgeous Bike, Incredible Customer Service
This is a great bike backed by even better customer service. The day it arrived, I was a bit too eager to get it assembled and riding. This may or may not have caused me to not completely tighten to pedals, and, well, by the end of my first day with the bike, the right pedal had shorn free of the crankset.I emailed Pure Fix about the issue, and instead of suggesting that my shoddy assembly skills may be at fault, they immediately apologized and shipped me free replacement pedals and crankset - with free bike lights and gear bag thrown in for good measure. The customer service was incredibly fast and friendly - I sent an email about my problem in the morning, and by noon, the replacement package was on its way to me. When it arrived a couple days later, I immediately took my bike to a local shop for a full tune-up. The guys there told me every component on the bike is high-quality and should last a really long time - save for maybe the flywheel, which should be a $20 fix if it fails. It's making a bit of sound, but I'm not worried - a failure wouldn't be dangerous, and if it did occur, I could always flip the rear wheel into fixie mode and bike back home. The bike rides incredibly - it's a single speed, but taking it up hills isn't too hard, and riding on flat ground feels unbelievable. On top of that, I get compliments about its looks on the daily, from friends and complete strangers. Overall, 11/10 would bike again.

Solid Commuter Bike
I've had a love/hate relationship with this bike since getting it. For the most part I love it. It's sturdy, rides well, and looks awesome. That said, I've had some issues with the brakes (Radius). It takes a while for the squealing to subside from the pads rubbing the paint on the wheels. I also needed a replacement set of brakes after a fundament screw within the system snapped while tightening. THAT said, Pure Fix's customer service is PHENOMENAL. Each representative I've worked with has been courteous, quick, and responsive. I've some new brakes on the way (ProMax), so hopefully those work out better than those before. I'd also recommend getting a back brake for the bike--it comes equipped only with a front brake--for while you can get by with just the front brakes, any great need to stop quick may require more stopping power than just a front brake can provide.
