At the second time of asking - the first one I received would not charge the battery - I'm very impressed with the sound quality produced by this compact speaker. I purchased this to use at a Christmas party next week... being able to load a flash drive with music rather than having to keep changing CDs will make life so much easier. Can't comment about battery life yet of course but for me that's not as important as how it sounds and it sounds great!!

Play MP3s in my Bathroom.It is Super-Loud (and not even at Full Volume).I've been very pleased with it.TIPS:The included Battery was lasting about 3 days (Half-an-hour per day) but when I replaced with 3000mAh Battery it now lasts a week or more.Lots of Reviews mention "Random" Playback - If you get ORANGE light to front hold the Top Back-Arrow for a Couple of Seconds and lights should turn BLUE and Playback is sequential.

This 12cm cube plays mp3 files from a USB thumb drive via its own speaker . It does nothing else. No other file types are playable. No wifi, no blue tooth, no headphone jack. It has AUX line-in to play the output of a different device via 3.5 mimi jack. Such as a phone, for example.Most, if not all, of the above is reasonably apparent from the listing description. As such, there can be no real complaint. The sound is adequate. The power source is a rechargeable battery which lasts for about 3 hours max. If you research the device you will find references to an identical looking device which accepts an SD card. This is not that device.It is impossible to establish or to control the order in which it chooses to play the tracks on the USB drive. After it is turned off it will next time play the last listened to track but from the beginning. However, if it is left to play through a number of tracks it becomes apparent that the order is infuriatingly random. Literally, random.No order can be figured out. Using the << or >> controls produces increasingly unpredicatable results. The playback order will constantly change. It is impossible to determine what data relating to any track is being read by the device to determine what it will play next. Weird.Whether this is an issue is perhaps a matter for the individual. Over the last 2 weeks I have begun to find this increasingly annoying. It is probably best left to play through the tracks uninterupted as far as possible.That all said, the GoGroove does a decent job of fulfiling its very specific capabilites. There are few, if any, specific rivals at this price point and it might be exactly what you are looking for. Just understand clearly what it does and does not do.

I found it did everything I wanted,great to take on holiday.

It is stated that battery life is 5 hours but this is not happening with mine. I am getting up to 2 hours. I wish the manufacturer would get in touch with me to explain if I have a faulty product.

Control was difficult for nearly blind user. When playing talking book usb the chapters could not be changed reliably. Sound production was fair though.

Good sound & very simple to operate.

It plays mp3s from a stick and this probably corners the market as a lot of other setups will only play from bluetooth connection or use a remote control or wont play usbs as they are so out of date.The sound quality is not quite as good as a very expensive setup but it is loud enough without much distortion and the speaker works on a rechargable battery and is very portable. In all much better than some of the more expensive and complicated systems where ease of use has been forgotten. its a positive that it is easy to use and actually works to play mp3 recordings
