Oregon 58-050 480/400-8 Agricultural Lug Tread Tubeless Tire 2-Ply

Used these on a troybilt horse tiller fit great had to purchase tubes to get bead to sit but that's just cause I won't try the lighter fluid or buy a bead air blaster

I bought these for a 40 year old Troy Bilt Horse Tiller, to replace the cracked and leaking original Carlisle tires.New tires are very heavy duty, with deep robust tractor tread. After you get them mounted on the wheels, they appear to fit well, and are a good replacement for the factory tires. New replacement Carlisle tires were $70 each at a local tire dealer. So the price on these Vietnamese built tires is hard to beat.These were some of the most difficult tires to mount that I have every attempted, I have mounted dozens of car tires by hand, including heavy duty 16" 1-ton truck tires, using a cheap Harbor Freight wheel mounting tool plus some tire irons. But these little beasts, with their very stiff bead and sidewalls almost defeated me. After mounting, inflating them was a trick, since their natural shape is with the two rim sealing beads nearly touching, and very reluctant to seal on both rims of the wheel. I put a heavy duty nylon ratchet strap around the circumference of the tire to smoosh out the bead out, and then use some kitchen caulk to fill the small rim to bead gaps to get it to hold air and seat on the rim. First tire took and hour. Second one 15 minutes.But now that they are mounted, they look nice. Hopefully I'll get 40 years out of these ones too....

this is a good U.S. MADE tire i am very happy too have bought it an at a great price now when the other tire goes bad i will buy another just like this one
