This product, while being made mostly of surgical steel, is not as good as I would have liked. I have not gotten an infection wearing this - the actual ring itself is fine. It's the quality of the cat dangling from it - it is unusually low. The fake gemstones in one of the cat's eyes fell out after only having it on for an hour. I also do not recommend complete submersion of the entire thing. The cat, although only in once for a minute or two to sterilize the ring, already shows signs that the metal plating on it is gone. A few of the edges are a little pink. Overall, I would not recommend this one.
