I’d say the dog is not “allowed” to go in water. It is a small stuffed toy, not ideal to get it wet.

It goes on the outside of the closed case at the hinge centre. It helps when the case is open to only allow it to open 90 degrees so it doesn’t flop too wide open

Buckle. Stucking on the outer casing to fix the opening position.
