Good part, quick simple installation
Perfect fit on a 97 k1500 with the 5.7 engine. Part itself is of good quality, installed quick and easy (and despite everyone moaning it did not come with shims....you don't need them or instructions for that matter!) It works just fine and resolved the trucks issues. This review is after 3900 miles with no problems.

ACDelco 213-4761 Professional Crankshaft Position Sensor Assembly
As stated by another reviewer the Photo is inaccurate. Shims are Not included, available through GM dealers or online.This is a great example of the differences between the Professional and the Advantage lines of parts, or part grades.The 213-4667 is identical to the OEM metal embedded sensors found on 1999-2005 4.3's that I personally know of.Having seen both, the Advantage grade is lighter and the sensor is all plastic (I believe this came with shims for a period)Same service life????? Time will tell with good & accuate data.All GM dealers use the Professional version as the GM replacement part.

No shims
Works great and a great price but does not come with shims like others said went to auto zone to get one. Other then that works great and fixed my problems

ACDelco 213-4761 Shims not included, false advertising, do not buy, see other reviews.
AC Delco 213-4761: The listing photo clearly shows shims and an instruction sheet. Mine arrived without, and my OEM (brass construction, not plastic) did not use any, so I installed this new one without. First time starting the engine I had a loud growling sound from the timing cover area. Upon removing this sensor, I noticed pronounced rub marks on the sensor end. I guess I need to find a source for shims but this was a huge mistake to purchase. The shims don't seem to be cheap or easy to find by themselves. Clearly the fact that the listing photo shows shims suggests that they understood there is a need for them, yet they simply neglected to include them. Do not buy. Usually ACDelco does OK with this stuff but buying this crank sensor was a pricey mistake.
