Supports glassware well
This is sturdy and robust and ideal for distillation, reflux, or holding sep funnels. I will warn that you MUST make sure this stand rests level on perfectly flat surface. Also, make sure the weight of what you are supporting is balanced properly. If necessary, clamp stand to table if it wants to tip. Otherwise this stand will provide years of trouble free use!

An Excellent Bargain!
I selected this chiefly for the cast-iron base. I wanted something good and heavy, like we used in school. The weight is perhaps a bit less than I'd like, but there's a second hole drilled in the middle of the stand, which I used bolt it to the workbench. Now it's rock-solid, and no way it's going to fall over.It came with three transverse connectors of quite good quality; three solidly made rings of assorted sizes; two flask clamps, which are just a bit wobbly due to the jaws being made of stamped metal, but nevertheless hold a flask securely and are quite serviceable; and a three-fingered burette clamp, again, a little wobbly, but perfectly serviceable. The clamps are solidly fastened to the steel arms with two thick metal pins, so there's no danger of them falling apart, and the connector that fastens it to the column is well-built. Despite the 'wobbly' impression of the clamps, the manufacturer has taken full care with the features that matter. You can't beat it for the price, and despite the mild shortcomings, I expect to be using it for years to come.

Does what it should without issue
Built well, low cost solution, and works as should. If you donnot overload it then there is no concerns about flask holders or clamps failing.

Clamps are OK, stand is not.
Well the stand itself is junk. The base is thin stamped steel with a hole slightly larger than the rod, so instead of screwing into the base it is simply bolted. This does not make for a stiff and sturdy stand, the rod wobbles a lot and refuses to stay upright. The ring supports were coated with something that cannot tolerate high temperatures and will fill the lab with a nauseating odour of burnt plastic when heated. Two of the rings were noticibly bent out of alignment and would tilt significantly up or down and sideways, while the clamps on them were not aligned to allow the threaded bolt to center with the support rod, causing problems with securing them to the stand. I'm not sure about plastic knobs on something which will be subject to heat but since the coating cannot tolerate that I suppose the rings will be restricted to holding funnels and the like. The three prong clamp is alright, opening and closing quickly with little resistance and holding glassware quite securely. However, a hole was melted through the rubber coating of the center prong during a distillation, so this might be best used for low temperature work such as holding a condenser or a receiving flask. The burette clamps will not hold my 50ml Burette because the opening is too big when the prongs are closed all the way, but they can hold standard 16mm OD test tubes. I cannot speak for the heat resistance of the rubber pads as I have not tested them with heat. Aside from that they seem alright and should last a while with proper care. The right angle clamps are surprisingly good, clamping down real tight on both the extension clamps and the support stand. I don't know how long the plastic knobs will hold on since I cannot see how they are attached to the bolts, but so far it seems these clamps are probably one of the best features of the entire package.Overall it's a mixed bag at a price that easily competes with other brands when considering everything that's included. If anything, I would recommend tossing out the stand and not using heat with any of the clamps or rings.
