Upper Canada Soap Studio Dry Hair Towel for Straight Hair, Black, 2.2 Ounce

YAYs…It’s very soft.It’s black.Keeps my hair secure and in place.NAYs…It sheds a little.Did not reduce drying time of my hair.Not helpful for all types of hair.and now my rambling begins…I was mainly looking for a black towel since I dye my hair black every month and the hair dye ends up leaving brown and blue stains on my lighter colored towels when I wash my hair. This black towel hides those stains well and is very soft too! There is a button and an elastic loop to affix this towel in place, which I do love. I don’t have to be all stiff necked while doing housework or putting make up on hoping this towel won’t fall off of my head like my old towel turban method would. Too bad it does leave some black fuzz on my shirt or body towel while I’m getting my face on which can be annoying. Minus one star for the shedding.My hair is very thin / fine and already damaged from the consistent hair dying. I thought that if this towel would dry my hair faster than a typical towel, I wouldn’t have to torture my poor hair as long as I usually do with the blow dryer. Wrong. When using a regular flat towel, I can twist my hair firmly in the towel before twisting it on the top. This towel is basically a tapering hood and after a month, I still can’t figure out how to firmly twist my hair in the towel itself so it doesn’t dry any faster than a regular towel. It actually doesn’t dry much at all since my wet hair is basically laying on my wet roots. I don’t want to have to comb my hair while it’s soaking wet just to be able to put this towel on. Minus one star for that.Also, if you have really long hair, really thick hair, or really curly hair, I don’t see how you could fit all of your hair in this towel. My hair is somewhat long, about a third down my back, and while it does fit, keep in mind that any random 4 year old girl with long hair probably has more hair than I do. I could use a dish towel as a head towel and I would if I could figure out how to keep it up while I’m moving around. Maybe I should.All in all, I do still use this towel after work and before bed when drying my hair isn’t a concern. This towel allows me to be active without having to worry about fixing my head towel every couple of minutes. However, when I am more concerned with drying my hair and in the process of getting ready to go out, I opt to use a regular towel instead.
