Make sure you understand the limitations of any product when its effectiveness depends on something else, these are very useful but if you don't use them correctly or if the tiles aren't clean or flat/smooth they will detach. Once stuck onto clean smooth none porous surface the grip is excellent, just remember to reattach them regularly, and check them before allowing a vulnerable person to rely on them. I don't think a similar product would do better than these, the limitations I refer to apply to all of these type of things, but normally, (soap dish or towel holder for instance) if they come away it doesn't matter, If your elderly mother falls, it does matter.

I cannot understand what all the fuss is about. I have had these items in my shower for about a week and a half and they are as steadfast as the day I put them in. My tiles and of course glass surround are perfectly smooth and as long as the tiles are absolutely smooth they will stick. I always check them before I shower but I cant move them at all. I would imagine if the tiles had a slight uneven surface they will not stay in place. Place a ruler across the surface in all directions and if you can see light though it your tiles are not smooth.

Ordered two sets so that getting in and out of the shower and using the bathroom was easier after a hip operation. One set stuck immediately the other one tended to fall off the wall on a regular basis so wet the suction cups slightly and they have now stuck perfectly and are fit for the job intended. Price wise they are good.

I was so looking forward to placing them on my bathroom tiles for safety reasons as I recently had hip surgery. One doesn't stay on the tiles at all despite cleaning and drying the tiles many times. The other one made me realise how unsafe they are because it came off the tiles whist I'm holding on to it as I was getting into the bath.So unsafe and dangerous under certain circumstances.

I Stuck these to my bathroom tiles (which are pretty standard) and they fell off overnight.I tried water on the suction pads, they fell off overnight.The third attempt, they didn't fall off until someone touched them, at which point one end came loose.I'd go as far as to say these are completely unfit for purpose and, possibly, dangerous.

bought this for my sister and her husband to help my brother in law whilst in the bathroom as he has bad hips and lack of balance. He has one in shower and one beside toilet as two come in pack. Given 4 stars as i personally have not used them but in future as they are used longer this may change

Have only fitted these for a few days. First impressions are good. Feel a little light weight, but are a good size. Slightly wetting the sucker, results in an impressive suction - holding securely to the wall. For the price, excellent value.
