Best DisplayPort to USB C converter
It seems the best DisplayPort to USB C converter which supports DisplayPort 1.4.I've been using HDMI cable supplied with my 3440x1440 144hz monitor provided by Acer which static electricity discharge happens a lot and makes my display signal interrupt which makes monitor black outs and turns back after few seconds. It was very annoying and I used DisplayPort cable with this converter and the issue is gone.Pros:- Metal housing- Solid build quality- Runs reliable- Cheaper than other competitorsCons:- Runs hot like around 40 degrees celsius.

Works with MBA 13 and 30" Apple Cinema Display
Works well with my corner case! I'm successfully using this to connect a 30" Apple Cinema Display to a 13" MacBook Air (M2) using a StarTech Dual-Link DVI to Display Port adapter.

Works great.
I was struggling to find the best way to connect my beefy gaming laptop to my nice new monitor I got without losing any performance since my laptop does not have a DisplayPort port. I tried some other type C to DP cables but ultimately concluded that for top performance - USB-C to DP adapter (this product) -> standard DP cable. I'm getting full spec with ease. This is a solid brand that's been around awhile and I'm happy with this adapter.

Apple Cinema HD 30 is finally working with my Macbook Pro M3!
The Apple Cinema HD 30 is finally working with my Macbook Pro M3! I thought it would be impossible after trying so many different adapters with no success. I could not get HDMI to work with this monitor, so I gave up on that.If you have an old Cinema HD 30 (CCFL), it should work with these exact parts:-Apple Dual-Link DVI to Mini DisplayPort adapter (requires USB A connection)-CableMatters Mini DisplayPort (female) to DisplayPort (male) short cable-CableMatters DisplayPort (female) to USB CThis USB C adapter is plug and play, no need for drivers on MacOS.Video signal looks great at max resolution: 2560 x 1600, 60hz. Tested with 4k videos.I could not get it to work with my Android phone.

Works Flawlessly!
Works flawlessly to drive an old 30" 2560x1600 dual link DVI only monitor by connecting this to a USBC only laptop and using a DP to mini DP cable with the old Apple mini DP to DVI adapter.

Connects but..
By buddy in IT recommended this brand to me and I’m a day trader with a Dual Monitor set up but when I turn my monitors on 1 of them doesn’t come on until after I’m logged in and it’s annoying. My screen will go black every now and then and I know it’s not my monitor because I have 2 they are the same and I’ve used them on my old computer. You are better off getting a good quality docking station. You get what you pay for..

Won't connect 2009/2016 mac pros (mini-displayport) to modern LG Ultrafine (USB-C) 5k displays
I was hoping that bidirectional support meant I'd be able to use some pretty old computers (a 2009 mac pro nehalem, a 2016 trash can mac pro) to a modern day USB-C-only display like the LG Ultrafine 5k monitor, yet this did not prove to be the case. The displayport 1.4 standard is supposedly backwards compatible with the 1.1 and presumably about 1.4 respectively, but neither of these combos delivered any picture from the mac, sadly. Was worth a shot, but I'll be returning this, as it didn't pan out.
