Excellent plant-based cookbook!
Having switched to a plant-based diet looking for a good cookbook was a challenge but this book certainly is a great find. The recipes are easy to make and very delicious I especially like the crunchy sesame tofu, and spicy beet bowl among many others. It really gives you a great in-depth appreciation for cooking a plant-based meal including starting with the basics how to soak and cook and prepare dried beans legumes rice and other staples that you’ll use in creating the recipes. It has a really great array of recipes from high-protein salads, satisfying lunches, easy breakfast smoothies and whole food dinners that leave you very full and satisfied and even a few really good desserts !! Whether you are new to a plant-based diet or a veteran I highly recommend this cookbook as a chef myself it lays out everything in an easy to understand way to prepare the meals quickly and do some work in advance i.e. prep for your meal.

Solid cook book with great recipes!
“51 Plant-Based High-Protein Recipes: For Athletic Performance and Muscle Growth” is an amazing, not too big, cookbook full of plant-powered recipes. I’m enjoying these recipes on almost a daily basis and am very happy with the lifting and (positive) bodyweight improvements I’ve been able tomake so far. Vegan fitness becomes easy with this recipe book that includes macros, storage info & useful tips with every single recipe! My mother in law is a nutritionist and helped meMake this! We especially loved the the hazelnut chocolate bars! My three year old ate them all!

Solid choice for the plant based vegan/vegan athlet
This is one of the best vegan high protein cookbooks. It offers protein needs with easy to follow recipes. The instructions are clear and information is solid. As a three year long vegan, I am thrilled to find a solid cookbook that has recipes that meet my protein needs. I'm exited to see that mostly whole foods are used and that soy isn't vilified. Definitely the most useful cookbook I have had in years.

Shakes call for protein powder
I was most disappointed that the shakes and smoothies required vegan protein powder when I was looking for other protein alternatives as an athlete. The snacks section seemed interesting, but ultimately didn’t feel like I liked enough recipes to keep the book, so I returned it.As the back of the book states, there are 10 breakfast recipes (9 are smoothies/shakes and the 10th is pancakes), 5 salads, 25 entrees, 11 snacks, and 8 essentials (sauce, hummus, spreads). I would recommend the “No Meat Athlete Cookbook” instead, which has a variety of recipes including electrolyte drinks.

Huge help so far!
Recently switched from a vegetarian to a vegan diet (plant-based diet) and this book couldn’t have been better. These plant-based high-protein recipes have been what I’ve been looking for for a long time. Tips, storage info, macros and easy-to-follow steps are included and make this an excellent fitness kitchen cookbook that is 100% vegan (and also makes a great vegan gift).

Booooooooooooo!
Garbage! SO disappointing! Let me some this book up. Eat a lot of tofu, tempeh & vegan protein powder. I purchased this to learn about Whole Food recipes that would provide effective levels of protein. There at maybe 3 in there and it's only because the beans provide that protein alone. Don't waste your money!!!
