I don’t have a great amount of experience with orchids, but these pots are perfect. Orchids are not meant to sit in water and need to stay dry. These pots are well ventilated to allow the water to flow easily out if the pot. It is a 3 piece system. The inner basket is a thick mesh of plastic where water has not place to accumulate. That sits in an outer vase that has solid to the eye, but has several water escape points in the bottom. That bottom has feet that holds it up while sitting in the third part of the unit, the base. If any water does collect in the base, the pot is held up above the base so it doesn’t sit in the water. I fully saturate my plants every couple of weeks, let them flush out and then they are done. This systems allows any residual water to collect in the base and not in the pot. That then evaporates. Great pot for your orchids! The next day after the flush, the roots are vivid, leaves seem greener and my plant is happy. They can then sit without watering for another two weeks. Highly recommend this pot system. Sturdy plastic and will hold up to a very large plant.

found out that my orchid was wilting because of the pot it was in, which was the Carmichael glazed pot I bought it in. Orchids do not like glazed pots makes them un happy. So I went looking found this and so happy I bought it as soon after repotting my orchid it perked back up and eventually started blooming again (store boughy and never got one of them bloom again until now) this pot isn't the prettiest but its practical, and not ugly just plain and simple but it works and orchids are happy in it.

I ordered this orchid planter and repotted my orchid without a problem. The problem occurred when I watered the orchid and all the water came pouring out of the bottom. The extremely shallow tray under the planter only holds a tiny bit of water. I've found another tray to serve the purpose but of course it doesn't match so will have to find a whole new planter with adequate tray.

What I didn't like is the outside pot has holes in it for drainage. What I wanted was a large orchid pot with lots of holes like the inside pot and an outside pot for soaking the bark while I'm watering. I don't use the outside pot at all now. It was a waste of money.

Orchids pot from china. By the time this gets to you, in a plastic bag, it will be unusable as mine was. Concept is simple but this isn't the one you want to buy, not from this vendor.

This is a perfect size pot for a larger Orchid. I really like that it is both an inner pot with slots that sits in a closed pot. My orchid is doing really well since transplanted.

Although I repotted my orchid prematurely and the pot was a little to big, the vented style saved me. I was able to raise the vent so the plant could still get proper humidity, sun and breeze. It makes watering adequately and easy using the soaking method. Since I bought these pots my orchids (3) have grown two new leaves each and only losing one each. Orchids are no longer my nemesis, but my favorite friends!

I bought this to replant my orchid since it outgrew its original pot. I love how much room it gives my orchid, I wont have to worry about repotting for a while and has plenty of areas for the water to drain so it foesnt stay trapped with the roots.
