The 5 foot would be too short very likely. Would recommend the 6 foot one. You can measure from the front where the hood latches to the vehicle around the engine through the firewall and under the steering column. We highly recommend that.

Yes it should as the 5 foot version is usually for compact cars.

These are universal units, however, we do not recommend the ignition interrupt feature on newer vehicles with electronic ignition systems. this is the best lock, ur never get ur auto stolen anymore, its 100 times better than the auto club that u put on ur steering wheel and it only cost me $35 +$75 for a pro to install it.

Does the job

The good: Once you get it installed (a 5 hour ordeal for my vehicle) it does what it's supposed to do.Word of caution: MEASURE YOUR VEHICLE BEFORE YOU BUY! You CANNOT have ANY hard bends in the cable or the interior cable binds up and it doesn't slide/function properly. That means you need to have a straight-as-possible run from end to end (bracket location under the hood to the keyed end located inside the vehicle). It also means you do NOT want to buy a longer version if it isn't necessary - it may be to your detriment, such as in my case. I bought the 5' and should of bought the 4'. The result is that when the cable enters the cab through the firewall I have just over 2 feet. Unfortunately, I have no good mounting place under my dash for the keyed end because all possibilities require that I bend the cable too much (vehicle is a light Chevy 4x4 pickup). If I had bought the shorter version I wouldn't need to make the bends in order to mount it. The result for me is that i have to just leave it hanging loose tucked under my dash next to the steering column - not ideal. But...it does keep my hood locked down which buys me a tad more insurance that the parts under the hood will still be there when I come back to it...

good hood lock

This is a good hood lock for any classic auto. you will not have to worry about anyone tampering with you under the hood parts.
