YES! Best option on the market.
I recently purchased my newest XTerra and the only thing really needing repair at the time was the rear struts. The stock struts lost all their pressure, rendering them useless and I always had to hold my trunk open with one hand or have someone do it for me.Now? The liftgate slowly and quietly rises on its own. All I have to do is pop the trunk open and the struts do everything else for me. These are AMAZING. They are powerful, reasonably priced, and super easy to install. I had one person hold the trunk open for me while I installed them, and we were done in less than 10 minutes. The enclosed instructions are rather hard to follow, so I recommend you find a quick tutorial online instead. It was SO easy and I'm glad I purchased these.

Perfect and strong!
Quick easy install. I propped my rear door up with a broom. Fit 2013 Xterra perfectly. The Door now lifts to proper height. Basically a brand new lift for my Xterra!

Less than 6 minutes to install
I am a noob when it comes to working on my car- but I have been taking the time to learn how to do my own upgrades/fixes/maintenance. This was one of the first projects I did - replacing the hydraulics on my trunk since the others wouldn't stay up anymore. This literally took less than 6 minutes.Pros:easy to installclean looksolid feelVERY powerfulcons:does not have the controlled "close" you have to push it so hard to close the trunk (possible that I put it in wrong but I don't think so.) It pops back up with serious force if you're expecting it to do the whole controlled close thing like most trunks do (and like the factory version did) - so as long as strangers aren't closing your trunk - it's good.

Very easy to install
I didn’t think that these would be so easy to install, took me 10 minutes when I planed an hour. Just lifted my tailgate up, and put a ladder underneath it to keep it from falling. These and my old ones use a very simple clip to keep them secured to the car. So with the old ones I just used a flat head screw driver to pop the old clip out. Then once the clip is popped you just knock it out, I used my hand karate chop style. If you forget to use a ladder to secure the tailgate it or think it’s not necessary it will fall on your head, these tailgates are very heavy so please do that. Then for installing you just pop the new ones in, no tool needed to install.

great product
I recently replaced the failing OE liftgate struts on my 2009 Nissan Xterra with these Maxpow struts. I couldn't be happier with them. They were very affordable, easy to install (all it took was popping off the old struts' clips with a flat-head screwdriver, easily pulling them off, and then snapping on the new struts, which pop on with new clips intact), and they work great (now my rear liftgate rises way better than before, and it stays solidly up on its own). Originally, I went to a Nissan dealership and I was told that they no longer sell the struts by themselves, so I'd have to buy newer versions that only work with new bracket mounts, and they were about $150 per pair (not including installation). So glad I found these instead.

On time
The products arrived on time, and in good working order. No phisical damage to the box and its contents. I recommend this seller and its product.

Watch your face!
I finally got tired of using a broom handle to keep the rear door open. I ordered these lifts as a solution. These are a breeze to install taking all of three minutes. I'm a handy guy, but I think anyone could easily install these. The difference once these things are in place is massive! They provide plenty of lift to open the door from the closed position (once the latch is released, of course). If you have been using the broom handle method like me, watch your face because your rear door will swing right up into it with substantial force relatively quickly. As a result of the lift generated, it takes a bit more to overcome the force and close the door. I don't have a problem with that. I've had these for about 6 months so currently I can't attest to the longevity of the product but they seem to be of good quality. I imagine and hope they will last at least as long as the factory lifts did. Do yourself a favor and get these to replace your old, worn out gate lifts. At this price point, you won't be disappointed.
