Perfect for letting the cat into the screened porch & when he needs a break from the dog. The size is exactly what I needed. It was easy for me & my teenage daughter to install (I was too lazy to take the door off so she was on one side & I was on the other). It's been holding up well and looks way better than a giant hole in the screen. Can't complain.

We saw this item at a relative's home, and thought it would be perfect for our dog. I was surprised by how quickly he learned. He was stand-offish at first, so we took the flap off and let him get used to going in and out. We did this for 2 days, so that when we reattached the flap, he knew he could go right through. Great design! Great product!

I'm a pro, (make a living as a builder/ contractor). This is a good product, with a couple notes to keep in mind. Yes, if you are somewhat handy, installation is straight forward. Yes, the screws are on the small side, but not a big deal. If the screws were larger, then there would be a bunch of write ups on how unsitely the large screws are?. Here are my two items that could be improved. 1. The tabs to lock the door flap are extremely small, and not easily locked, to hold the door closed. You pretty much have to open the screen door , use both hands, to hold the door in place, (one hand on both sides). Maybe they thought the tabs should be small, so as not to stick out for your pet,that is using it, but they could be improved,(as the door easily swings out while your trying to lock it right? 2. The door has magnets on the bottom to keep it in place, after your pet has entered. I have a 10 to 20 mph breeze blowing towards the house in the day time (islands), which is continuously blowing the pet door open in the wind, until the gusts subsides. This could be fixed, if they included a bigger magnet (with some sort of slide adjustment, so that you could increase the holding power, which would solve the problem. You could set it soft, until your pet figures out how it works, then increase it, to keep it more secure w/o letting in the flies, and or telegraphing to other animals, that you have and open door policy. Otherwise, works great, pet learned quickly how to use it

This is a great product! Very simple to install, and very sturdy. I thought this doggie door might compromise my screen door but the screen is not compromised. It took a few doggie treats to teach this pup that he could come and go as he pleases. I am very happy with my purchase. BTW, I first bought the larger size doggie door on Amazon, I did not notice a smaller size when I ordered. I saw on the manufacture's box a smaller version. I went back to Amazon and returned the large doggie door for the smaller size, they advertised the smaller door as a cat door.

This is a good pet door. Sturdy & well made. However it was difficult to install over heavy duty pet screen in a screen room sidewall. It would NOT snap together over the thick screen so had to use the screws & bolts to pull it together from each side & keep it together. But after about an hour it was installed & instead of using the cat flap-which I was sure my stray would be afraid of, I just cut the inner screen with a box cutter along the bottom & up almost to the top on both sides-leaving the top of the inner screen intact-& it makes a good lightweight 'flap' she isn't afraid to stick her head thru & come & go on her screened patio.

the door has a gap almost all the way around it big enough for mosquitos - even though I tried to leave some of the mesh from the screen I cut to hang out further in the hole I cut with razor. The plastic hinge for the door is not very heavy duty and does not close all the way sometimes so if you are a person who likes to feed the mosquitos like me - you may want to get one of the more expensive models. My dog uses it and likes it though and it will keep out most large bugs as long as it doesn't stay partially open when pets use it. It was easy to install.

I LOVE this cat door that fits right into my sliding screendoor so my cat does not constantly want to be let in and out every few minutes. (I had to pay someone to install it as I could not hold it together tight enough to get the short screws through.) It is best to prop it open at first until the cat gets used to using it and gets their scent on it. Today (after being up for 3 weeks) my cat came in by herself for the first time! I praised her and gave her Greenies. The only thing that was a bit frustrating is that you cannot pull it towards you to help the cat get started coming in from outside so I added a small Command Crystal Hook/Knob. This way if she is hesitant to push it open I can open it a little for her so she will jump through.

I was so skeptical of this thing but it is really awesome! Super simple to install and it just works. We have (2) high maintenance Dachshunds and with this doggie-door they can roam free as they like. The dang cat even uses it.

Excellent produit et facile à installer. Toutefois il faut être patient selon le caractère de votre animal s'il est craintif.

Easy to install, but I had to remove the door and just leave the frame, because the dog afraids to open it :pHope he will learn it soon!
